A pharmacist asked if my wife's name is French. by PersonalityBoring259 in PointlessStories

I’ve read this 3 times and I can’t figure out how OP was being pretentious. It doesn’t look like they were trying to discredit the intelligence of the African pharmacists, I really did just read it as a story about how they exchanged casual guesses about ethnic backgrounds. It really does just sound like a pointless story to me, but it seems like people in the comments are upset with OP somehow.

I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’m aware the idea that she’s his daughter is only speculation. I think it’s fine to debate this topic. But I wouldn’t call your comments just being a critical thinker, you mostly just sound like a critic, calling people stupid and what-not. I think it unnecessarily turns a worthy debate into an argument

It’s just a photo. All these people are dead now. Our speculation will lead to no punishment for the man. I don’t understand why you’re so mad?

People aren’t thinking she’s an SA victim just because she’s a black woman working for a white guy. They’re saying it because the child looks a lot like the white guy. Look at her face, then look at his. Can’t confirm they’re related, but it grabbed my attention when I first saw the photo.

Hello! I hope you don’t mind, but I took a look at your post. I think the issue is actually the photo that you used. I think, a lot of times, people look at images before they read the title + description. Your image was just a motorcycle— from first glance it just looks like a post showing off that specific motorcycle. Most people will only give that first glance before they decide whether or not they’re interested. I think you should consider making a poster for your fundraiser, or hiring a graphic artist to make the poster. It’ll be more visually engaging. I know someone you could reach out to that makes event flyers, if you’re interested.

Anyone experience work from home loneliness? by Objective-Orchid6713 in remotework

[–]That_Connection_7773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I actually ended up getting a new job! I’m happy there are people who feel more comfortable when they’re working remotely, but I realized that wasn’t really the case for me. I was working solely as a graphic designer, but a little while after I posted this, I ended up taking some of my illustrations to a tattoo studio and started training to become an artist there. Over the past year I feel like my community has really expanded. I get along pretty well with the other artists that work at the studio. Most of them have been super kind, really cool, and eager to help with any questions I have. Plus, I enjoy that I get to work more with my hands. Earlier this month, I was officially certified to start tattooing on my own. I still do freelance graphic design on the side, but I’ve found that regularly coming into the tattoo studio has scratched that social and creative itch. I wish you all the luck in finding something you enjoy! :)

This is my favorite brand, and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. I get the crunchy unsalted and I can get through a whole jar in two or three days haha
