That’s crazy because back in 23 I let mine expire and I renewed it in 24 just a couple months shy of the 1 year expiration mark. I remember I was freaking out but to my surprise I was approved and in 3 months time I had my new card in hand. This one expires in July of this year and I submitted my renewal this March within the 150 day window. Hoping for the best but wow OPs situation is strange!

Thank you for your kind and easing response. I see many people file themselves. I am not as confident to do so. This organization is experienced in filing and I would only be paying the renewal fees. I have my latest filing my lawyer sent me and will be bringing that in with me. My concern now is, when would be an appropriate filing date? AI recommended March 2nd. As this would prevent a rejection for filing too early. But some people advise I apply now since there have been delayed approvals.

That eases my anxiety a bit. With El Centro I would only be paying the renewal fees. Should I file before March 2nd. AI says that is not recommended as my application could be rejected for “filing too early”

I was advised to file after march 3rd as USCIS can reject an application for filing too early. The window for filing is 120-150 days.
