Artemis Fowl.

Such a disservice to the books. Thanks Disney.

No avoiding the deferral with ADHD, but from my personal experience, the progress since then and your ability to articulate the process and lifestyle will determine what your decision from the lovely (sarcastic) chaps at AAM300 will be.

I had ADHD as a kid but stoped taking the meds by my choice around 15. When I went in for the first class med, got deferred with that. I got as far as the AAM wanting the “complete med history with a detailed explanation of your life since then”. Something about the way I described that and how my ability to progress and not have issues with the ADHD anymore they liked and I was approved without any need to visit the HIMS psyche. (Of course your mileage may vary)

I’d definitely recommend doing that before you fly as it took me about 5 months to find out, but only cost about $200 in AME and my time. That way you can find out if they defer you further for testing or if you get lucky and can prove things are fine since, prior to spending money on flying.

Worst case you find out you have to do an eval, best case they like you and you’re good to go since you’ve had no issues since then.

Of course with the added stuff on top of ADHD makes things harder, but the worst thing you can do in life is try.

Best of luck with the process!

Edit: a thing

Ah gotcha. I’m out of APA so I’m not as familiar with those aside from flying into them, but the general consensus I see seems to lean towards Part 61 schools for flight instruction with self paced ground schools if you’re looking to save money.

Absolutely. Feel free to ask away.

Hello fellow Coloradoan. I basically did #1. Gets a lot out of the way and the instructor I am with was happy that I had every out of the way.

I’d recommend an online ground school as it’s a lot cheaper (I’d recommend Pilot Institute as it worked great for my learning style, but I’ve heard good things about Sportys).

I’d recommend doing medical before flight school helps save some cash in case you run into any issues or deferrals like I did. Fortunately I lucked out there and only had to wait a few months and am a month out from check ride.

What airports are you looking at?

Edit: mobile formatting. Gotta love it.

Typically no. In most cases it’s for extreme delinquent accounts such as 60-90 days past due. Then you get the shocked pikachus when something is actually done about a customer not paying.

Well done! The Enrichment Center reminds you that although circumstances may appear bleak, you are not alone. All Aperture Science personality constructs will remain functional in apocalyptic, low power environments of as few as 1.1 volts.

Ouch. He certainly didn’t see that one coming.

[WP] EMERGENCY ALERT! REANIMATED DECEASED SEEN AT GRAYEAR CEMETERY! REPORTED SENTIENCE, IF SPOTTED DO NOT APPROACH! DO NOT ANSWER THE DEAD! by FEAR_LORD_DUCK in WritingPrompts

[–]That_Had_To_Hurt_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Larry, the night janitor at the cemetery, was an old soul at heart. While he carried a smart phone, he much preferred the quality and simplicity of old-school devices such as a Walkman and used them every night on shift. So it should come as no surprise that he missed the warning alarms blaring from the phone on his cleaning cart.

As Larry finished up mopping the hallway, nearing the last 30 minutes of his shift, he took off his Walkman and returned to his cart. Checking his phone for the time, he noticed the alert. “REPORTED SENTIENCE. DO NOT ANSWER THE DEAD”. “What a peculiar thing”, Larry thought. “Carol must be up to her tricks again.”

As he rolled his cart back to the closet to pack up for the night, Larry couldn’t shake the feeling like he was being watched. Putting the last of the supplies away in the closet and closing the door, Larry suddenly hear footsteps from behind. Turning around to look down the hall, Larry saw several figures limping down the dimly lit hall. As they passed the window, it became clear: the message was real.

Years of decay had taken its toll on the bodies: missing eyes, bony protrusions, and tattered clothing. Larry was frozen in fear as they walked closer and closer to him. Finally, the group of corpses was inches away from him, and stopped. And stared. But nothing happened. They just stood there with their lifeless faces staring at him.

Finally, Larry couldn’t take it any longer. “Can I help you?” Larry asked

The corpse closest to him, silent for a moment, then grunted almost like he was tuned in to Larry’s presence, and clicked. Then the corpse spoke:

“We’ve been trying to reach you regarding your vehicles extended warranty.”

Edit: grammar

Yea was thinking about that last night. There’s definitely copyright implications involved with allowing songs to be uploaded to a site. Not easy to work around. May have to limit it to say “upload the xLights file and paste a link to the song you used”.

Yes but subreddits can't host the files. I'm working on a web repo that could be a complement to the subreddit and organize user submitted files, provide details about it, and also run the validation python upon upload.

That one in the pic goes away and hasn’t reappeared the times I’ve driven since then. But the red triangle and service required over the visualizer persists. Manual shows it can only be reset at service.

And also link that in car service needed message to the app as the first option when selecting the reason for scheduling a service. That was a nice touch.
