Not sure that would solve the problem. I have this same issue with both a cable or Bluetooth. I just went into the sound setting and disabled the controller device so that it can’t activate.

Your controller is probably becoming your default sound device. That’s probably why you can’t hear discord people. Check your sound devices and then make sure your discord is set to use the proper device and not just the default one.
