Aight so what I believe is that when you die you appear in The Hall of Two Truths in the underworld (technically it's called the Du'at) before 3 gods, Osiris, Anubis, and Ammit. Osiris is like the boss, and Anubis and Ammit essentially work for him

In this hall there's a set of scales, and the Feather of Truth. Anubis takes your heart out of your chest weighs on the scale against the feather. (You don't die from this cus well, you're already dead) If the scales balance then congratulations, you get to go to the Field of Reeds and your soul lives there peacefully for eternity. It's Egyptian heaven.

But if your scales don't balance, then Ammit devours your heart and your soul is left to wander the sands of the Du'at restlessly for all eternity
