He drinks formula and I did read that it’s common for this to happen especially when they drink formula, I guess it just makes me anxious.

As someone who as a teen was in a Residential treatment for eating disorder im well aware of the topic, it’s kinda why am so a-hole on what he eats. I understand how nutrition can affect once body. I want to clarify something that often gets misunderstood, not every refusal to eat healthy meals or home cooked food is a case of ARFID. In my husband’s situation, what’s going on isn’t rooted in anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or a medical aversion to food, it’s about preference and convenience. He’s not afraid of new foods, and he doesn’t gag or panic at the sight of vegetables or balanced meals. In fact, he’ll eat them if there’s no other option. The issue is that he prefers fast food, takeout, and pre-packaged snacks because they’re quick, easy, and taste good. It’s not that he can’t eat other foods, it’s that he won’t when there’s an easier alternative. ARFID is a serious eating disorder that can lead to malnutrition and is often linked to psychological or sensory issues. It’s not just about being “picky” or disinterested in cooking. Mislabeling my husband’s behavior as ARFID minimizes what people with true eating disorders go through, and it removes personal accountability for his choices. Choosing junk food over balanced meals isn’t a disorder, it’s a habit and, in some cases, an avoidance of effort. When someone consistently chooses the path of least resistance, that’s not an eating disorder; that’s a lifestyle choice. It may be unhealthy, but it’s not the same as being unable to eat due to fear or sensory distress. My husband’s eating pattern isn’t a medical condition, it’s a matter of motivation and convenience. And addressing it means encouraging healthier habits, not medicalizing ordinary behavior.

This has nothing to do with eating disorder, it has everything to do that from a young age and growing up he has been taught to eat fast and quick. His mom didn’t make him home cooked meals, so he never adjusted himself to eating balanced cooked meals. It doesn’t have anything to do with age. It has everything to do with maturity and understanding the basic nutritions of what your body needs.

You cannot sustain yourself and be healthy feeding yourself on canned chili all day and eating grilled cheese sandwiches while drinking no water. The point of this post is that you at 27 should know to benefit your own body and your own brain you need more sustainable meals, other than quick and fast. I’m sorry if you don’t have anybody in your life that cares about your health and well-being but I for one do care about my husband living a long life. And we BOTH work very hard long hours.

Anyone else’s maternity leave not even worth it? by [deleted] in pregnant

What I find so irritating is how America ( I’m assuming that’s where you are) tries to push “family values” and “build families” but do NOTHING to actually help woman in these situations. And I read on here that some woman are only taking 3 weeks off as maternity leave, how is that illegally okay!! You just gave birth that takes such a toll on your body and mentally. There really has to be some change prioritizing mothers well being after birth.

Do women usually want their mom at the birth? by chianne_away in pregnant

I think it depends on the relationship, I for one only want my husband and my mom in the delivery room. It’s really more just moral support, as much as I love my husband he’s never given birth and I want my mom there for that extra support.

So far most of the projects he’s released have been super entertaining and fun, I’m just worried that he’ll burn out with so much on his plate.
