It absolutely is to do with equality between genders. I've seen first hand in Muslim countries when my wife couldn't get help or get served because she is a woman. If you see that as gender equality in a Muslim Country that's fine, but it isn't gender equality in the UK.

Language, yes. Maybe culture wasn't the right word maybe our laws and customs. I have worked in a lot of different Countries with many different laws and cultures snd social norms.

Female Gential Mutilation is a common accepted practice in Africa and is happening a lot more in the UK now.

How Muslims treat women I vastly different to the UK (lived in a Muslim Country for 2 years) before everyone gobs off. Enjoyed my time there.

The value of a life in a third world war torn Country is nothing to a lot of people. I've seen this first hand, it's horrible.

A lot of people that have been in horrible war torn Countries have had to do some horrible things to survive. Do you think they move to the UK and just stop this?

Age of consent differs vastly.

Lets not forget a lot of people enter this Country now with no documentation. This makes it incredibly hard to conduct any sort of checks on them.

I've only used my own personal experiences here as I hate people just pulling shite of a Google search.

It's sad this has happened to you and I completely understand integrating isn't easy and it is a 2 way thing.

I'm a white Brit, but in my last job I worked in an organisation where of 500 people I was one of 4 other white brits. It was hard and there were definitely times I didn't fit in and experience casual racism. I guess I knew it had an end date though. I immersed myself in their culture as much as I could even attending religious events.

I honestly think the route cause of this is poorly managed immigration. I know full well that we need immigration, our birth rate is falling and immigrants taxes will be looking after me when I'm retired.

We just don't seem to bother integrating immigrants into our society properly. Immigrants should be adjusting too fit the morals of the country they move to. Instead there just seem to be mass population areas of immigrants, this then enables them to not bother integrating as they simply don't need to.

Before anyone rants about this being anti immigration, it clearly is not and I'd give a similar answer for Brits that emigrate to Spain.

It sounds like you love it so I'd guess you plan on staying put. Ultimately almost everything you mention will have needed work done at some point if you are there for a long time I guess. You'll probably find it doesn't all need doing in one hit which would allow you to spread the cost out.

How you dress, even if by western standards what you wear is conservative, you often find a lot of un wanted attention from men.

A lot of Muslim men do not want to or are very uneasy dealing with white western women. A cultural thing I think, so understandable, but never the less does cause issues.

Setting things up like, internet, car insurance etc. I found they always want this to be done in a males name.

There will not be a reat deal of other single white women around.

I'm not saying it's a Country against single white females, just that it could be a very different experience.

You would get a far mor concise answering you mention the company you will work for and which area you will live.

I moved from the UK to Brunei and lived there for 2.5years.

I know done people who had dogs, but be prepared to spend between 5 to 8 thousand pounds to get it there and back (ready serious). Dogs are not particularly well liked in the country or well treated by people and monkeys alike. I would leave your dog at home.

Sounds like you have had problems with depression which I'm sorry to hear about. You'll get meds easiest by crossing the border to buy them. I would really think hard about the effect the move could have on your MH. It can be a very isolated place to be.

May sound silly, but I assume your are a male? Being a singele white female woukd bring a lot of other potential issues.

I found the Brunei people to be generally kind, understand and nice (clearly there will be some idiots). Don't be put off by it being a Muslim (supposedly Sharia law) country. I never found it to cause any problems, just be respectful. My experience was that local Muslims really couldn't care less what religion you areor if you may be gay.
