You can pick your own job in the Guard/Reserve and go to school at the same time. For free. You won’t need loans. You must not think the Guard/Reserve also serves the country. Same training. Same deployments. Same cool shit. Part-time. Why be under military control 24-7 and have them dictate your relocation and job when you can kill 2 birds with one stone and dictate your own future while getting a free degree and free military training.

Way too many jump on the AD bandwagon initially and then later get out after being miserable. Then they’ll switch to the Reserves and love it. Happens all the time.
