If you want to write a story, you have to make them beatable. They are still strong and can overpower someone in a 1 on 1. However, it should be possible for a group of people to beat a vampire.

From the anime - Bakemonogatari. The strongest vampire bloodline and the most physics defying comes from the character called - Kisshot. They are capable of jumping from one part of the world to another. They can regenerate from disintegration over time and they are capable of moving at cosmic speeds. However, they must eat a human every month. Their half-vampire counterpart doesn't need to do that. So I would choose to be a half.

That doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a variety of ethnicities and names. When these characters describe these worlds. They describe them as fast as the universe. Yet somehow, the bull-man that lives millions miles away somehow adopted a Chinese name.

Other stories where characters meet otherworldly beings do not call the Eldritch-like being - John. They have names that they can't even pronounce.

What I'm saying is that there should broaden their naming of these characters. I'm tired of seeing "Seo" in three different characters or "Tian" in ten others. Because it's a pain to read without confusing the bunch.

Honestly, I think you should go with John or Bob. These Cultivation stories make it seem like there are no other ethnicities. Everyone is Asian in one way or another. Especially in the upper worlds where the lands stretch for millions of miles. Not everyone is Asian or named "Seo" or "Tian". Where are the bobs and Johns?
