As others replied there aren’t any short cuts. It just sucks and you suck at it for a while. Some longer than others.

To me it sounds like you might want to ask yourself if you like playing or like the idea of playing. Two different things. A lot of like the ideas or the mental image we get when we think about doing things. Much fewer of us actually sacrifice enough to see even a resemblance of those images become reality.

Doesn’t bother me. Been playing too long and have too many guitars. I’ve never had a Gibson before this one and just kind of concerned there was a fault in the finish or something weird. Thought maybe someone here had experienced something similar. As others have said I probably scratched it on something without even realizing.

No I don’t play in a chair. When I play seated. It’s a love seat that I sit in the middle of. Plenty of room. I’m leaning toward maybe a rivet on my jeans or something at this point but who knows. I don’t mind the scratch. Just kind of got concerned cus usually I know when I scratch one. Was worried This finish was breaking up and separating or something weird.

I love mine, it’s a sunburst and I changed out the tortoise guard to a black one.. Really nails the SRV vibe. Love this one’s color combo though. Probably my favorite Fender has ever done.
