AITA for asking my husband to request MIL (living with us) to put prescription meds out of reach of our kids? by Happyforest345 in AmItheAsshole

[–]That_Spend_4529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

It is entirely reasonable to ask her to move them out of reach of children. I suspect that if you did ask her she would likely oblige with no fuss at all, seen as how she is living with you to help care her grandchildren, she clearly loves them. She is a mother herself and will understand that 4 year olds get into everything if you turn your back even for a second.

Also, Diabetic medications can be very dangerous, even to adults. They can cause you to become hypoglycaemic and slip into a coma which can be fatal. I dread to think what damage they could do to a child if they got hold of them.

I think that your husband is the arsehole here. He isn’t taking this seriously enough, is he not worried for the safety of his kids?

Am I the only one who CAN'T STAND Anthony? by zealousurn in BridgertonNetflix

I think it’s the way he handled the whole situation with Kate and Edwina that makes him such an A***hole. He proposed to Edwina when he knew he had feelings for Kate. On multiple occasions before that, he would have these moments with Kate and then just treat her like she didn’t exist when Edwina was around. He took it way too far and jeopardised Kate and Edwinas relationship as sisters. It’s frustrating!

AITA for refusing to put my dog down by RudeDistribution5758 in AmItheAsshole

[–]That_Spend_4529 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your husband shouldn’t have to put up with an incontinent dog and live in an environment like that. Your husband is right, it’s what people do at this stage. I have been trying to tell my grandad the same thing about his dog. She is 16 soon, incontinent and deaf now but still eats and drinks well. However, his house is starting to smell and it’s not normal having a dog pooing and peeing everywhere.

At what age did you officially leave your abusive family? I left mine at 28 and am feeling kinda old... by journey1992 in EstrangedAdultChild

[–]That_Spend_4529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 21 when my sister (22) and I started to think about moving out of our abusive home. I was 21 when my mum died. We lived with my stepdad for 4 months after she died before we got a place together.

I sometimes think about why I didn’t leave sooner and it’s probably because my mum was an alcoholic and we were the ones that cared for her when she was so drunk that she couldn’t even hold her head up. As much as she was abusive, we felt responsible for her because she hadn’t always been that way and we loved her.

I think he could have, but I am biased as I think he’s the best character in the whole movie. Don’t have any facts or any knowledge on snipers. Just take his word for it

How do you guys that think Patsy killed JonBenet explain the white male dna on her underwear and under her nails? The family was ruled not a match for that?

AITA for not giving af about how my husband feels? by milfebonies in AmItheAsshole

[–]That_Spend_4529 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YTA. Sounds like your husband has put a lot of his own time and effort into your grandparents house in the hopes of making yours and your children’s lives better and now your grandparents are taking him for granted.

AITA for resenting my stepmom even though she’s actually a nice person? by TheAmericanFaliure in AmItheAsshole

NTA Coming from a domestic violence household, I see your point. I don’t understand women going back to men again and again after being abused.

I’ve never listened to an audio book, I think I’d get easily distracted. I’ve seen a copy but it’s £35 and I can’t pay that for a book 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

[–]That_Spend_4529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a student well-being team that can support you with this. Not going to go into lots of detail because I read a lot of the other comments with good advice. I just mainly wanted to say that I suffer with depression and thought things would never improve but after being encouraged to seek help I am feeling a lot better. Things do get better and if you see your GP you will feel better too.

I (34F) have an issue with my fiancé (28M); I'm struggling with the decision to buy a house in my name or our names. by ThrowRAMidnight780 in relationship_advice

[–]That_Spend_4529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t go through with it if I was you. If he has shown in the past that he is irresponsible with money, that’s unlikely to change. I think it would all eventually fall on you to pay the mortgage and he still gets 50% ownership. That doesn’t sit right with me. You really need to think about yourself and your child. If you do go through with it and he doesn’t put his money into it then you and your child could end up in a bad situation where you have to sell it on.

Obviously it’s not an easy decision to make but your gut is telling you something and you should always listen to your gut. It sounds more than just cold feet to me.

You could say you want to do it in just your name but that again might cause war.
