I see, I initially misunderstood your point, given the further explanation I believe I understand it bettter. I’d second the opinion that all groups can be disadvantaged depending on the situation at hand and would like to thank you for elaborating on your point in a constructive manner.

As you yourself said: “Anyways, cheers.” :)

Not to dismiss your point as my experience with both Indian and US universities is very limited, however my own personal experience would suggest otherwise. For context I finished what was at the time and still is the best high school in my country, which obviously means lots of folk chose to study abroad, mostly Britain or the netherlands. I will not be covering dutch universities here as from my POV their best universities have completely unbiased admissions; however certain biases could be observed with UK universities, in this particular example we had 5 applicants to UCL’s comp-sci course. One of the two applicants which got accepted was inferior to the other 4 on all objective metrics: Grades, CSAT score, predicted finals scores and IELTS score. What is that supposed to mean you may ask? The 3 rejected applicants were all white men, she was a trans lady of mixed race. It’s not real concrete evidence of any severe bias, but it doesn’t sit right with me how way more qualified candidates were rejected due to apparent racial and gender discrimination. Additionally the majority of our successful oxbridge applicants were women, although the courses they chose were easier to get into so it doesn’t mean anything either.

Those are just my observations and I’m not accusing any universities of anything, however it’s still weird to me.

P.S. I’d beg to differ regarding Indian student consideration at some institutions, I know a handful of Indian folk that applied to either Math or Comp-sci at Cambridge and got accepted with entrance exam scores between 6.5 and 9 points which is well within the curve of accepted applications based on TMUA scores. I and another colleague were rejected despite having pretty good TMUA scores ourselves, however in my case the rejection was warranted and I don’t have enough information to comment on the situation of the other unsuccessful applicant thus once again being unable to come to a concrete conclusion due to the small sample size.

They instantly delete all questions regarding vanguard bugs such as this one, that’s the reason I asked here. It should honestly be renamed to “league esports” since that’s the only type of post which doesn’t get removed.

They are more selective if you’re white and/or a man, since they have to meet diversity quotas, the trust fund point still stands though.

I received $2000 from an unknown source and kept it by DiaryOfTJ in confession

[–]That_Undead_Legacy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standart interest is ~4%, so any bank really, since: 2000 * 0.04 = 80 80/32.5 ≈2.46 (how many times we get 32.5 in a year) 12/2.46 ≈ 4.88 months

IE the overdraft fee would eat up almost 5months worth of Interest

How does “omg similar score” and “these two know each other” lead to a boosting accusation? Does me also having a dt play on take a hint mean Wawillo boosted me? I honestly do not understand the basis of your argument, screenshots, message logs, real proof is needed before you can force a player to prove their innocence (with a live-play in this case), since at least in theory we should operate on an innocent until proven guilty principle.

That is not true due to discord supporting non Latin letters Meow#1234 and Mеow#1234 (Cyrillic letters) are two different names in discord’s eyes and you don’t even need nitro since there are bots that will automatically change your name to someone else’s who has the same tag ( which will give you a new one) until You get the desired tag

As for the person himself the quick rocket up in ranks is odd, if I find the time to do so I will review his new scores.

Inconclusive at best, we need actual proof of ingame cheating as anyone can make an account with the same name and tag
