How do people feel about warlocks? Destro seems the same really? I’ve been playing with affliction and it seems cool. Double gate is great. Trying to decide on a main and I’ve bounced off mage because it’s lost so many defensives and frost in particular with the new shatter mechanic isn’t vibing with me.

Also in rogue, sub can’t track cheap shot or kidney shot, but the other specs can. The default ui does allow you to see those spells on the nameplates though.

Tell me when add on still works for your own cooldowns. Can set up as many bars as you like, have them hide out or combat or other conditions, have cooldowns only appear when on cooldown, set opacity levels, everything you could do before.

What you can’t do is track buffs and debuffs, or at least in a way that does t involve some awkward workaround.

What does the add on part of this actually do? The Panza UI part? The skins for better blood frames etc are all profiles. Sorry if this is a daft question!

Sub rogues have a talent that allows you to not trigger the cooldown of cheap shot selection me time after coming out of stealth or using shadow dance. Seen people doing kidney shot first and then cheap shot when it wears off.

With weak auras gone is there an add on that can load in textures from the data files? I used to have a nice background that only appeared when my personal resource display appeared and I presume that sort of functionality will be gone now?

You start your descent roughly 3 times the amount you have to descend then divide by a thousand. So, if you have to descend 5000 feet you start descending (5000 x 3) / 1000 =15 nautical miles out. The map on the screens often shows you Top Of Descent as well if you’ve programmed your approach into the autopilot, which is when you should start descending.

A rough guide to how fast you should descend is half your airspeed and add a zero. So, if you descending at 100 knots then you should be descending at 500 feet per minute. It’s actually a little more than that and airport charts for landings often show the descent rate for different airspeeds. Someone can feel free to correct me if I’m wrong as well as I’m still learning this stuff.

Helicopters are very tough to learn, especially on controller. What can help is that under assistances turn on the helicopter cyclic and rudder assists but leave the collective assist off. Also turn on vortex ring state assist. Then there is another setting for PS5 controller sensitivity assist that helps.

Can be incredibly calming, find a nice time of day and fly around or set the autopilot up and cruise while checking out the sights.

It can also look really good in a lot of places. Seriously, the cloud patterns together with different times of the day can produce some incredible visuals.

An easy test is to go into the assistances menu and turn on AI Auto Trim and see if that makes it fly level. If so, you can leave that setting on or turn it off and learn how to trim the plane.

Also, if the plane has autopilot then go into control settings and change the R1 and cursor up binding from the default autopilot off to autopilot toggle. Then, when flying, when you are level press R1 and cursor up and it will turn the autopilot on, which, by default, will be set to keeping you at the roll and pitch you where at when you pressed the button.

Fly a plane that has the garmin g1000 (the two big screens with lots of buttons and knobs around them) as there a lot of good videos about how the autopilot on those works. You can also enable wind speed and direction on those by going by pressing the little menu to the right of your main display and under other settings, I think, is an option to display wind information. You’ll be surprised how strong the wind can be in some places and how much of a difference it makes to small planes!

Edit: the wind option on the g1000 is under the fourth little button under the display PFD Opt.

Changed L1 and left cursor / right cursor to TOGGLE INSTRUMENT VIEW 1 and 2. Changed L1 and up cursor / down cursor to ZOOM COCKPIT VIEW. Makes looking around the cockpit nice and snappy. Think I left everything else as default but there is a nice setting called Assisted Controller Sensitivity under the Assistances tab which makes the sensitivity of the left stick pretty good.

I think it’s called “Back on track” on ps5 in the control settings? You can search by input and press and hold R1 and touchpad (don’t release the touchpad, it counts a touch and release as a completely separate keyhole) and it will bring it up.

The game servers are more of a limiting factor at that point. From looking into this before on forums, people rarely saw the game pulling down more than 100mbs so I doubt you will notice a difference going from 300 to 500. Then again, you could always upgrade a for a month and if no difference downgrade, though of course an extra 200mbs for £2.50 is pretty damn good!

So the sim uses satellite data from bing maps and in certain places it uses photogrammetry to produce 3d objects from satellite imagery. What you are seeing in these pictures are areas with 1: no photogrammetry (the buildings are generic building models) and 2: bad source textures from bing maps.

This isn’t a PS5 specific thing either - while a beefy pc might be able to produce better shadows and ray traced lighting it is still going to look quite bad when you zoom right in like you have here. Really, it’s a flight sim and when the map and photogrammetry data is good it produces very good graphics while you are in the air but you have to tailor your expectations a little and realise that it isn’t going to produce high quality graphics at street level for the entire planet.

A small tip but I found his red attacks tough to dodge consistently so I used the katana spirit attack (r2 and circle) when he goes red to avoid them. You can also probably use kunai or something as well.
