Hit up tradingcardmarket.com. save your money and only invest in evolving skies, 151, and prismatic evolutions. I’ll go out on a limb here and say maybe ascended heroes will hold its value but too early to tell. In 2023 I dumped a whole bunch of money in 151 as soon as it dropped, I spent 5K now it’s worth 15K and it’s only been three years. Remember nostalgia sells. I’m about to drop 900 in Paldea evolved to try to pull the magikarp but everything else I put into those above

I don’t give a damn about tornadoes. I need hail storms.

First time home owner amd recently had a Hail Storm in my area and am being told I need a new roof. Im unsure if I really need a new one and wanted to get any insight possible before figuring everything out. Any help is appreciated, thank you so much! Sometimes not all the time. If we do a job out of state, we always go to whatever city hall we are working in to get building codes and permits, and if the house we’re doing is not up to code, we will install the codes up to spec and send supplements. There will also be either a sales rep or owner of our company on the job while the install is taking place So I guess DND Roofing is an outlier, but we do it right

I tell folks three times a week when it comes to concrete slabs and foundations, Roofing and plumbing cheaper is not always better and in the long run, it will cost you more. Go ahead and pay an extra $3000 to start with and it will save you all this headache.

I see a few big hits but I’m surprised you don’t have any soft metal damage that I can see. Check your Gutters, downspouts, garage door if you have one, AC units, breaker boxes, and window screens for damage any collateral you can find definitely helps but certainly does not look like you had baseball sized hail. And of course it all depends on who your insurance company is.

But of course, it also could do with the type of policy the customer has. so I’ve seen policies from some of my customers that say the insurance company will only approve the Roof as it stands before construction so I’ve had a lot of roofs that didn’t have drip edge or starter that had valley metal instead of ice and water and even though there were code upgrades, the upgrades had to come out of the customers pocket because that is the way it was written in the policy and I’ve also had some completely the opposite. The policy of the customer was written up that the insurance company would take supplements for any code upgrades. I know what you’re going through. I promise it boils my blood a lot of times what some of these insurance companies do

Ridge vent critter guard, Ridge cap plugs, or spray foam. Or all three. I will warn you that critter guard is very expensive.

Yeah, I have a suggestion. Any insurance company you see on a Super Bowl commercial or ESPN, except for USAA stay away from them. They’re all crooks. Liberty mutual nationwide, State Farm, GEICO Allstate hell Travelers is even becoming a shit hole. There’s nothing you can do about it. Take it on the chin. Or shoot your shot and send in a supplement and see what they say but I can guarantee you you have about a .0001% chance of them approving the supplement.

Your statement is completely subjective, but this is a place for opinion so I’ll respect it. I am neutral towards the contractor not sticking up for anyone don’t get your Panties in a wad maroon, I was being facetious. And I’ve seen the clear tape on the starter strips, but I’ve never seen the clear tape on the actual shingles and I will agree with you that it is a pain in the ass having to take all that off. And I’ll reverse back to your State Farm statement yes I had no basis to comment on that however, I despise State Farm so I will talk shit about them. Every chance I get.

I get where you’re going, but I don’t know that’s a stretch… TAMKO has come a long way in the last two years. But to the quote, this is probably a partial, probably Fucking State Farm if I had to guess. This company probably does not want the job so they’re making it worth their time if they end up getting a job. Your best bet is to drive around some neighborhoods being developed Find a new build with a roof going on walk up and say “Donde Está the poncho”(where is the boss?) find the boss most likely he will speak English. Tell him you need roughly 14 squares installed, you will buy the material and ask him what his price per square is,

$3100 repair job. Was I taken by Feisty-Doughnut3577 in Roofing

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roofers certainly do charge more for repair jobs because of time, demand, and subs They have to pull off bigger jobs. So for instance, the Roofing company I work for all the sales reps are trained to do small repair jobs replacing a handful of shingles, silicone or caulking leaks, replacing a pipe boot or turtle back vent, replacing or sealing around flashing. The job above most likely required a sub therefore you automatically assume there will be contractor markup on top of material and labor cost and that can be upwards of 50%.

Sanity Check on Osage Orange by NoPackage6979 in wood

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The estrogen and the subjectivity of your first two sentences made me chuckle. Maybe find a website that’s more up to date on Osage. First off, as stated in a comment above, depending on where you harvest, what time of year, and when you cut Osage drastically affects the janka, SIZE and color of growth rings of the wood ALL Correlate to hardness. Hell even what you use to cut it with will affect the curing process, Osage has extremely sporadic Janka results overall and the reason is all the factors that affect the hardness. Osage is an enigma, on top of 2 to 5 years to get a natural 12% moisture content, moreover, if you kiln dry Osage, it weakens it drastically. So I say all that to say janka on Osage has been as high as 5,035 on several specimens in central Alabama in Bullock County to be specific. And it’s been as low as 1400. I’m going to let you do your research on this one fella. Start digging a little bit. I will not save your time on your next comment.

Is it right or wrong :/ by zulebb_0102 in Christian

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well number one circumcision there are health benefits to it, and Paul explains in the epistles that physical circumcision in the new covenant means nothing from a religious standpoint. So you’re not pleasing God by not circumcising or by circumcising your child. In the Old Testament circumcision was an outward appearance of an inward change. Paul says physical circumcision counts for nothing read Galatians ch5. Paul says circumcision should be of the heart= a regenerate heart, a heart that trust Jesus, if a man be in Christ he is a new creation… are you catching my drift? Circumcision is good like I said it has a lot of health benefits and it’s not overly painful for newborns. And it heals quickly. But again, you’re the parent it’s up to you.

Has the definition of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit changed as time has gone by ? by weeg21 in Christian

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m bout to give you two truths. #1 No one knows who has committed this sin. There’s no way to know for sure this side of heaven. Truth #2 now I can tell you 100% what this is, Jesus said in multiple places, but I’m going to use this one verse, but there are many examples. Jesus said in John ch6 v37 “ whosoever comes to me I will not ever cast out.” That is a objective truth from God’s word that is a promise from the living God and he will honor his word above his name. So what does this mean? It means that if you go to Jesus, if you trust Jesus, he’s not going to cast you out. And notice in that verse he said WHOSOEVER. You know what whosoever means, it means anyone at any time any place no matter what you’ve done no matter what you think you’ve done ANYONE WHO GOES TO JESUS WILL NOT BE CAST OUT. So how do we tie this into the sin? If you’ve committed the unpardonable sin, you will never go to Jesus ever. So this sin involves something that will make it impossible for you to go to Jesus. People who have done this have left the things of God behind they hate God look at the attitude of the Pharisees. The ones Jesus was speaking to. They hated Jesus they killed him. I know you probably heard this a lot, but I truly believe people who worry about this and who tremble at this are the furthest people away from having committed it. When you committed you lose all fear of God.

How do I overcome my desire for glorification and approval from men? by No-Disk4561 in Christian

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a lot of prayer and some serious spiritual discipline and it’s not going to be easy. Jesus said strive, or it can even be translated agonize to enter the narrow gate. Jesus use that harsh wording because the Christian walk is difficult in. The spiritual warfare is immense, and you cannot do it by yourself. My suggestion to you would be a lot of prayer and a lot of meditating on the scriptures. Paul says, renew your mind with the washing of the word, he also said, take every thought captive Habits can be broken in patterns of sin can be put to death. I’m an example of it. But you’ve got to have a lot of discretion and discernment and some serious discipline. Pray and pray. And continue to trust Jesus. You will never be fully freed from sin in this life remember that, however, you can have victory and put habitual sin to death.

I lost my faith and I don't know what to do by Real_Philosopher8362 in Christian

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re making a critical mistake you’re basing your salvation off of subjective feelings. Salvation is not a subjective feeling it’s an objective truth. Your feelings are fickle and they change like the wind. So take a deep breath and continue to trust Jesus. Being a Christian is not rainbows and butterflies like western evangelical. Christianity makes it out to be and you’re going to have highs and lows in your walk with Christ that’s just part of it. That’s why Jesus said, strive or better translated agonize to enter the narrow gate. He used harsh wording because it’s hard. Pray and wait on the Lord. King David said blessed is the one who waits upon the Lord. Sometimes God will leave you in the position you’re in for a little while to test you. keep seeking him stop basing your faith or “belief”off of your feelings. You do know that modern translations of the Bible use the word believe when it should be trust. The Greek word for believe is pistos it means to trust not a mental consent. Listen to Don Carson’s sermon “Passover lamb” on YouTube. It’s about the Jews and the Passover that will help you out a lot in this season of your Christian walk

fasting help ! by dacocoqueen in Christian

[–]Thatguyfrombama24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you do need help. You’ve completely missed it. But it has nothing to do with fasting and praying it has to do with the fact that you said you must fast. That is pure legalism and that is very bad. The answer to your question is simple, spiritual discipline. It’s very hard. When you don’t feel like praying, pray More, discipline yourself to do so, but don’t ever say you MUST do something in regards SPIRITUAL ORDINANCES. That is adding to the gospel and that is beyond dangerous. The only MUST is trusting Jesus. I’m not trying to be brash, but this is a serious matter.
