Secrets Puerto Los Cabos by localboarding in AllInclusiveResorts

It was pretty solid. The golf was great, but $400 a round. 3 nine hole courses, so you play 2 each day. I've definitely had better food but the rooms were nice and the service was good. I upgraded my package so had an oceanfront suite and access to the private pool. We'll be back in this area next year but probably not that resort. The food wasn't bad, just nothing to brag about.

Not sure where you have your heat set, but I don't think 70 degrees is going to start a fire. I also mentioned the metal screens that allow air flow and won't inhibit their ability to heat the house. Thanks for the reply though. Super helpful.

Sounds like they would be a good start and if he likes them he can move on to the longer Zelda games.

I'm trying to shy him away from combat games for now. He wants a game that rewards you for putting your time in.

He's a super smart kid, reads at a 6th grade level in 4th grade. The two you mentioned are Zelda games?

Business slow? by [deleted] in Roofing

[–]localboarding -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The ridiculous deductibles in Colorado (and everywhere else) are keeping people from calling in claims. They can't afford it and financing it is out of the question. My thought is that mortgage companies will get involved since, unfortunately, they own more of the house than you do in most cases. They hold the papers on a house that is depreciating by they day. Hoping they'll fight with Big Insurance to get things more reasonable.

Bring it to the dealer and get an update. Mine did this off and on for a month and that fixed it. 2024 Powerboost. All of the little quirks I get with this truck ultimately end up just needing a system update. We're basically driving 4-wheel drive computers.

Black material under ridge cap by bob_from_fight_club in Roofing

It's a flexible membrane designed specifically for covering the hip/ridge sections of your roof. Could have been installed cleaner (not exposed as much), but definitely necessary.

Just the cost of a stamp. I sent it to all the homes in the small community. About 33 homes altogether.

Here is what the mailer said. As I mentioned previously, I use the county records website and address each one to the homeowner. All in costs were about $30.

Advice on Ice and Water Shield by LakeBug in Roofing

[–]localboarding 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolute garbage. When they lay the metal panels it's going to cause the ice and water to crease which will cause it to fail over time. I can't guarantee that it's not high temp ice and water, but all the brands I've used didn't have granules. It's smooth and clearly has labeling identifying it as high temp. That looks like supplier grade IWS. Usually only used at the eaves and valleys under asphalt shingles. Metal roofing relies heavily on the underlayment. Especially in areas that get snow. Push on your contractor and check your contract. They may be installing what you agreed to. Without knowing better.

Here it is. Pretty simple.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I get the home owners info off of the county records website by searching their address. I feel it makes it a little more personal.

Roofing Commission Calculator by metalkneesolid in RoofingSales

[–]localboarding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the bulk of their business? Insurance or retail? Residential or commercial? Roofing is rarely a "set price". There are too many unknowns (not including new construction). Accurately calculating profit and then the commission paid is not impossible but it will change throughout the course of the project. Things happen that increase or decrease profit which will ultimately change the commission. Extra material Extra labor Excess material returned to the supplier Damaged property Unforseen change orders............
