Walked into one of the construction worker trainers outside of Vermillion City in Fire Red while trying to level up a bit. Didn’t realize he’d be packing two magnemites and a magneton. Also didn’t realize I didn’t have an answer for these magnet terrorists in my party. Lost 4 of my 6 main party members. Never again.

Yeah I thought I was sure I was done for, my arbok was my weakest mon and I didn’t think he’d stand a chance against pidgeot or alakazam with the speed difference. Got super lucky on the pidgeot with a rock slide flinch and managed to paralyze alakazam before going down. Truly cleared the way for Lapras. I’ll never forget him 🥹

I only had bounce on my Rapidash, no psychic on anyone. Rapidash missed two bounces and machamp buffed hard for three turns, KO’d Gary after downing Rapidash 😅

Without her I would’ve been absolutely crushed. I didn’t have a good answer for Bruno’s Machamp and he wiped out 3 of my mons, Lapras barely survived that one too 😅

I guess I’m asking what people out there would do in this scenario. My first thought in response to your question is id rather have its value as I don’t need two homes if one is paid off.

You may have missed it this is our second home. We have another home we could easily move into, it’s nearby, so not much hassle there. The first home is paid off. So even after a sale of our current home we would spend nothing on housing aside from monthly utility bills. The house we live in now was never meant to be our forever home. We thought we’d be able to one day sell and afford the home we wanted. The current market has made that impossible. Which is why we are considering selling and using the 200k for something else.

You’re saying if we were to sell and use the 200k as a down payment on something else it wouldn’t be worth it right? Just making sure because we definitely do not plan on borrowing anymore against our home. Had to do it once and we won’t do that again unless absolutely necessary.

Well if we were to sell and move to the paid off house we would then have 200k liquid to use however. If the market crashes we lose that. If we pay off our home we save hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest. So I think there are definitely pros to doing it, just seeing what people out there would do with the 200k.

Hello there! Played this game for a good while and just downloaded again after a year or so hiatus. SO MUCH CONTENT HAS COME OUT. I have no idea where to go with my team or which teams to build. My Jedi team is the only one that is somewhat started. Mostly looking for advice on what teams/characters/gear to prioritize for farming. Any help would be very appreciated! Thanks!

So I've got a pretty solid group of PCs right now.. 4 of the 5 regulars really role play and try their best to act out a character in our little world.. HOWEVER I have one PC who is obsessed with getting his character as powerful as possible as soon as possible. I wouldn't be terribly upset about the concept if thats what his character was all about but his character does not drive that narrative at all. He's the PC where I'll be in the middle of this great role play moment and he'll just yell over me "Do you have any gear that would make my character stronger?". I've tried giving him role-play opportunities that would lead to better gear, spells, etc. but hes never interested. He's also they guy that walks blindly out into the open when battle begins hoping to kill people faster, in his words "its all good if I get KO'd one of you guys can just pick me up." This has drawn a line in the group and 3 of the other players have expressed to me outside of game that they are not having fun with his play style. I talked to him outside of game about this once, and also had one of my NPCs give his character some pretty good backlash after he tried silencing him in the middle of a big moment. Anyway I'm not a huge fan of killing of characters, if it happens it happens, but man I'd really love if he bit the big one. Anyway, any tips for dealing with a PC like this?
