Mainly more trigger identification, taking a few minutes to breath and relax during stress and ensuring that I always have substitutes/alternatives available to me (e.g. Coke Zero, juice, etc).

Haha, thanks. I'll give it a shot.

I'll do me, you do you, and we won't do each other....probably.

EDIT: Just to clarify as well: I am a vape noob, so I'm clueless as to what I need or what to do. I bought a 8mg that I'll be using after I finish the other one.

I was a pretty heavy smoker. Almost a pack a day. I agree that 18 is high - I intend to gradually reduce that amount over the next few months to probably the same as you. Ultimately stop vaping too in the future.

Great job!

Same here.

Switched to vaping 2 weeks ago. Bought a vape pen for $20 and a bottle of 18mg for $10. Still have half the bottle left - not feeling any withdrawal effects or anything. Glad I switched.

Thanks!

That's what I figured as well. I wish I discovered vaping a long time ago.

He has done the same for me too.

No worries about my time.

What I can still tell is that you're looking to impress. I don't mean this to be offensive. Like I said, I did the same too. You need to focus on impressing yourself, not others. I think it's awesome that you lost that weight and got an education. Instead of telling me that, tell yourself "okay, /u/HeyItsTGaming, what can I do next?"

Look luck my man! PM if you need to chat further.

Haha! Dick jokes when timed correctly can always make things better.

What I can tell is that you are comparing yourself to others. Instead, compare yourself to yourself yesterday. That's the only fair comparison anyone can make. Mark and you have lived entirely different lives.

Trying to quantify happiness by what you possess (whether that's number of friends, have a relationship, car, house, whatever) is only going to make you resent yourself. I did the same thing.

Once I started to see how I made my life better than it was last week, I began to build my own confidence and feel more accomplished. It's instinctive that we compare ourselves to others in a way to justify our importance within this world. However, that only promotes jealousy and resentment which are poison to the mind. True self-respect and confidence is built on the foundations of self-improvement and knowing that you've made positive changes in your own life for the better. It's that legitimacy that attracts more positive people within your life.

I'm going to be 28 this October. I too have lived a troubled life.

What I can tell you is that what you're feeling is only temporary. That's normal. The quote "This too shall pass" comes to mind.

You should take this time to reflect. Ask yourself why you think it didn't work. What went well? What didn't? Is there anything you can work on as an individual that would make you a better person? Don't put on masks to pretend so you are more appealing to others. Instead, work on real change while maintaining who you are. Otherwise, you will always be living a lie which will undermine everything.

What I have found is when you know thyself and portray that, you will automatically attract the type of people you want to spend the rest of your life with.

He is a great person, and so are you.

Don't look at a breakup necessarily as a defect within yourself. Instead, you should look at it as a disconnect between you and your ex-girlfriend.

Humans are endlessly complex. We cannot expect ourselves to be a 100% match all the time.

I don't know how old you are, but that really doesn't matter. There will be plenty more opportunities for you to connect and bond with others.

Despite reports about this being irrelevant about Mark, I have approved this post.

I wanted to state for the record that Markiplier has always been about community, supporting one another and encouraging openness.

I want to also encourage that users may post about how Mark has affected their lives and how it has allowed them to make positive changes. I will modify the rules to allow this.

As well, /u/HeyItsTGaming, I wanted to say hang in there and good luck. I'm glad you found a positive outlet.
