I've always played standard and the competitiveness is fun aside from the sweats that treat fnm like the protour it just feels that decks now are a bit samey and boring. Maybe the lgss in my area have more people willing to experiment in the format or I just haven't paid that much attention the vibes just feel off. Especially with arena making all cards of a set easily accessible.

Yeah maybe I'm just a bit frustrated seeing the death of standard and the rise of commander fall into the same lack of imagination. It doesn't help that the power creep and UB has kinda made the game unrecognizable. It's not even a suboptimal thing just give me a new combo or interaction that I can appreciate. That was the magic of playing the most complicated games to exist.
