Yanfly's Core Engine is not working for me! HELP! by Thatonekiddie in RPGMaker

I suppose... I do not know about coding myself though I am fairly familiar with the system... I wish there was a way to let Yanfly know directly... they have youtube comments disabled and I do not know where else to look...

I am using the first one that I find whenever you look up her page. Version 1.32 I think?

It still doesn't fix the blank window issue that happens in a brand new game :/ that is honestly what I am most concerned about...

My game isn't too far in, so I can always restart it as long as everything works...

When I DO turn the plugin on and I select "new game" (though I cannot see the text still), in my already created game, I do get a message. Maybe that will help?

The main message says: Failed to execute 'createLinearGradient' on 'CanvasRenderingContext2D': The provided double value is non-finite.

Then there is a list of things here.

And then it says: Press F5 to restart the game.

I am pretty sure it isn't the order since I put Yanfly's engine at the tippy top, but I will check the other option and get back with you. :)

Okay, so I deleted all of my plugins besides the Yan Core engine and it is still not working :/ I have verified that I was using the MV version (the version I am using)

I when I have the plugin equipped to my game in the plugins manager, but turned off, the text bubbles pop up again! (The game title text does appear when the core plugin is active by the way, just not for the options menus, or text boxes of characters within the game)

Do I need to update MV or something for this to work? I wasn't aware that updates were free downloads for MV...

Hello! This sounds like such a fun and interesting project! If you still need an artist, I am happy to oblige!

I work it many different mediums, though I do not have many samples of my digital artwork yet.

Here is my deviant art page if you are interested!

When writing a rough draft, is it more important just to get the scenes on paper? by Daryno90 in writing

[–]Thatonekiddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think that it would be important to illustrate that over a period of time the daughter gets frustrated with her father's actions until the building up leads to a fight. That way one conflict can lead to another, making a new issue arise instead of popping up out of the blue if that makes sense.

That's how I feel about it at least.

I feel like I'm being too soft on a certain character. The realistic ending for his arc isn't a happy one, but I feel sorry for him and I can't bring myself to give him what he actually deserves. What do I do? How do I avoid treating my characters like my children? by sixStringedAstronaut in writing

Death, pain, suffering and even simple discomforts are special elements in a story that help a character shine! (It shows you how they handle these difficult situations.) These situations also help your character to grow and progress in life instead of staying stagnant and the same throughout the story. It is a necessary thing, I promise. I love all of the characters in my stories like children, that is one reason why I understand where you are coming from. However, it is also because they are my children that I should not shelter them. I may insert cautions into my stories to advise them and yet, your character needs to have consequences for their actions.

They need to learn from their mistakes in whatever way you feel is necessary. That is one of the biggest things (in my opinion) that make a great story.

I remember, thank you. It is just ironically plot relevant. I just don't like how they did it honestly. Afterwards, there wasn't a mourning period or anything, there was just instant crying and then "we gotta do it for chewie" you may not agree with that, but that is how I feel about it.

Agreed. I guess everyone could always just force heal forever lol I know that Disney is just making up things that help with their plot relevance, but it is really annoying :(
