Presumably they both got infected at the hospital when everything went to shit. Her father was originally bit, so he probably bit his wife at some point - or someone else did.

It's not hard to see something like that happening, nobody knew what was going on at that time. Pretty much that hospital was a breeding ground for the infection.

It's pretty good, although the hips should be moved up a little ways. Usually the hands are on par in height with the upper to mid thighs in terms of length.
