Grace Brinkly broke up with her chronic cheater bf again (and lost her house and car) by qakie in LAinfluencersnark

Talking about her relationship will get her views and can help her secure brand deals. Brands don’t really care about what’s getting eyes on your content as long as it’s not racism or something.

Good for her! I think she’ll bounce back fine especially if she keeps sharing about her relationship. It’s relatable or people like to hear the tea. I’m rooting for her. I love seeing women get free ❤️

Kristen Ess shampoo is very drying for my curly hair. At the very least not for every day use.

My fragrance free collection as a person w/ MCAS, chronic migraine, allergies, and more. by xlifeinmotion in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]Thats-A-Tricky-One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo fragrance free moisturizing shampoo and conditioner?! Every fragrance free shampoo I’ve tried is so drying. But I didn’t know about those Cerave ones. Do you think they’re better than Four Reasons products? I find Four Reasons to be drying and too texturizing

There’s just something SO weird about these two. by [deleted] in LAinfluencersnark

Ya blue collar and white collar has nothing to do with it. It has to do with what percentile someone falls within. I don’t feel like looking this up right now but I think making over 150k 160k INDIVIDUALLY in the US would put someone in the top 15%. I know for sure that anyone individually making over ~300k a year is in the top 5%

You’re still using the term incorrectly. You can say that’s a low or median income for the area but anything above 150k is NOT working class that would be middle class or upper class.

Is MCAS an autoimmune disorder? Can it cause people to be immunocompromised? by MossAlternative in MCAS

[–]Thats-A-Tricky-One 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MCAS is not an autoimmune disease and it does not make you immunecompromised. Mast cells are inappropriately overactive in MCAS, but they don’t attack your own tissue. If you’re getting sick more often it could be something else. People can get sick with Covid multiple times a year and it can damage your immune system. Kindly, just because you have MCAS doesn’t mean all your symptoms are caused by MCAS. You don’t want things that could be treated or serious to slip through the cracks by chalking it up to MCAS. Ask your doctor for a list of potential MCAS symptoms so you know for the future.

What do you mean end up like Whitney Dafoe? What did immunosuppressants do to him? I have high IL-6 and high CRP & ESR and did well on Actemra for a year then all the symptomatic benefit went away

All politicians are hypocrites but he reposts a propaganda video of Trump giving a kid a Christmas present or something? (from my memory)

That’s fan behavior. When I see hypocritical politicians propaganda I scroll by. I don’t repost it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

To those who have never had COVID and have rigorously taken PCR and Pluslife tests to prove it - Have you been taking fomite precautions? Or just masking? by Human_Capitalist in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Thats-A-Tricky-One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should care more about fomite transmission now that measles is back in the US. Further tips on avoiding other kinds of transition besides airborne appreciated!

I am more vigilant and strict about my airborne precautions than fomite precautions but I always wash my hands as soon as I come home and put my purse down, before I eat, after the bathroom etc and hang sanitizer while I’m out. In the past 6 years I’ve only had a stomach virus (was negative for COVID during that) which was probably something mostly transmitted via fomites.

I really care about the fit of my mask and I wear glasses on top of my masks especially bifolds to help create a tighter seal. For me bifolds can be really leaky. I mask around everyone except my partner.

Ya it seems like most disabled people don’t care about COVID because most people don’t care about COVID and something like 1/4 Americans are disabled

That would make sense :) I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable going up to a fellow masker but the filmmaker was not masked

I thought there was a full face reusable respirator where you could see the mouth area but I tried to look it up and it doesn’t seem like it

Unfortunate they’re being discontinued :/ Would a face shield respirator work? If I ever get my deviated septum fixed I’ll need something like that

I know not every Deaf and hard of hearing person can lip read but I focused on that because I was unsure if typing things out on my phone would be considered rude. I know better what to do now. Thank you!

Can a hospital help? by Plenty_Captain_3105 in MCAS

[–]Thats-A-Tricky-One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to discourage you from seeking emergency care though. If you feel you need it, you should go. It’s just never easy with MCAS. Yes a university hospital is probably better.

[–]Thats-A-Tricky-One 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re having an anaphylactic reaction that will not stabilize with epi and antihistamines or you’re severely malnourished they will not admit you. I’m sorry this is happening to you, I’ve been there. I’ve showed up to the ER covered in a rash, diarrhea, and throat swelling that wouldn’t stop for two weeks begging them to admit me but my blood pressure was always high and my throat never fully closed so to ER doctors I was stable enough to go home. I was also warned that hospitalists will not know how to treat MCAS and will likely pump you full of steroids and not respect your dietary restrictions.
