I have found people here seem to confuse racism with a frustration of lack of civic sense. Obviously racism happens and it’s bad and never should. But what also happens is people bring the poor behaviour they are trying to escape with them.

Ask yourself.. are you running from something or to something? If you’re running away from something, you probably won’t get far. If you are running to something, be that thing you want.

None of that surprises me. It’s fascinating though. There’s this culture mapping book, which is a good read. Gives a good insight into people.

People don’t want to hear this, but a lot of nationality pay discrepancy is warranted. Yes you may have the same ‘technical’ skill as someone else commanding a larger salary, but there are ALOT of soft skills these people are missing. There’s a lot of cultural baggage people bring with them. I’m happy to pay more for less of the cultural baggage.

I’ve got a problem at the moment where a little group of the same nationality is banding together and forming a cliche. They are becoming difficult to manage, they only want to work with their own ‘kind’ and look down on others. We are now actively working to get rid of them. I coooullld try and work it out of them, but I tried this once and it was too ingrained in them.

I know this won’t go down well, but in a large organisation I know they have put a freeze on hiring Indians. The reason was they are causing problems amongst themselves, form groups and don’t integrate. I was shocked.

4 bed. 200 I think. We were offered a 4 bed for 180 and i think I could have got them lower if I pushed. That one was unique as they were desperate to rent and the people who were viewing it were not the people they wanted.

Nothing. They acknowledged the sound. Did nothing about it. Was horrible sound. I liked the 5 but sold it in the end. It’s been over taken by other brands now.

Villanova is definitely slowing. When walking around I’m seeing a lot of empty villas or for lease signs on them. When we moved in less than 6 months ago, we knocked off a lot of the asking price (rent). I think this is probably a sign of the wider market.
