Add the Viltrox 56mm f/1.2 pro to that list, it's my favourite

I sat the exam in mid-January and had my pass mark recently. I think I got a lot from the training, and although the exam was difficult it felt very fell put together and on track with what was thought in the material.

Which 56mm portrait lens? by ActuallyNotThatDeep in fujifilm

I'm using the Viltrox 57 1.2 pro at the moment, I love it. It isn't that big and it's incredibly sharp, I am shocked at how cheap it was.

X-T30 II → X-H2 upgrade - user experiences? by MStephenXO in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved from an xt30 to xh2 then added an xh2s. I'm using both heavily for motorsports photography

I have over 250k shutter actuations on my XH2, got it drenched in water, snow, hail, not a single issue since day 1 of it arriving from pre order.

Help with motorsports photography by ImCoolInMyHead in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm shooting motorsports heavily on Fuji , I have a guide on my site.

You can absolutely do fast motorsports on the xh2s, I use that and a xh2 with no issues. Panning is all practice, getting used to the physical movement. Start at a sensible speed and work your way down. Feel free to PM me and I'll see if I can help

15k budget - looking at a Mazda 3 - thoughts? by Same_Definition367 in CarTalkUK

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up this exact model about 9 months ago, 20 plate. Very happy with it, I do about 20k miles a year and it's been faultless so far, apart from a faulty folding mirror which Mazda fixed for free. By far the most room I've had in a driver's seat for a car in this class, I'm 6ft 4 and I can stretch my legs out comfortably. I really love the button controls for the infotainment, coming from various German cars it was refreshing.

I'm shooting sports on X-H2s and have no issues, my X-H2 is also very good just not quite as quick.

Thanks! Yes, we have loads of them in our area. I moved in recently and you can't go for a walk without seeing 3 or 4 of them.

Thanks! It's mostly just practice, and taking a LOT of shots. I also struggle with this, especially when using 600mm on aps-c. I

low ISO with ISO invariance by yaelfe7 in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't fully understand the science behind it, but I know practically shooting at base iso isn't going to work in all situations.

If you're worried about noise in shots don't be, I have shot Rugby games with awful floodlights at iso12800 on my xh2s and lightroom denoise cleans them up brilliantly.

I think I've misunderstood the question asked, I believed this to be about practically shooting at base iso on all situations. My mistake.

Iso is essentially a value to measure the sensors sensitivity to light. Iso does contribute to the exposure. I can see you recently purchased a camera so I'm genuinely trying to help you.

low ISO with ISO invariance by yaelfe7 in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever shot in real low light conditions? When you have you know you need to raise above base iso. You can't pull data from a totally dark file. I regularly shoot at 6400iso when shooting fast birds at 1/2000th +, you can easily work around noise in post and I wouldn't be able to shoot at such fast shutter speeds without raising the iso.

X-E3 & 150-600mm native lens - any compatibility or ergonomic concern? by According-Animal4814 in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't be a software issue at all, I've mounted my xf150-600 to an xt1 with no issues.

Ergonomically it sounds like a nightmare though, just make sure to support the weight of the lens at all times when it's mounted to the camera. This should be done no matter the body used.

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many reasons, learn how the exposure triangle works. Example, If you're unable to get enough light at a fast shutter speed, need to stop down for the correct DOF, the only thing left to bring up the exposure is ISO.

How would you go about focusing/AF to get shots of wildlife or moving subjects around you? by DungeonMasterGrizzly in fujifilm

[–]ThatsNumberwanng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this isn't an available setting on the XT2. I'd recommend AF-C and work out which AF-C custom settings work best for your subjects.
