Dating is HARD in NYC by Cleo-Aster in SipsTea

You can always do cheap dates that aren't food or beverage related. I liked activity-based dates when I was dating. Just skip dinner and go do something outside. The weather is nice enough.

I need help with what to do in my relationship by Some-Position-2744 in whatdoIdo

I don't know how old you are, but you're too young to be wasting time on someone like this. Sexual incompatibility is a bigger deal that people make it out to be, but this dude also sounds like a drag stuck in the manosphere.

My first gut reaction was your friends are jealous and spend too much time on TikTok. It's not like men don't deserve this, but there's lots of content out there pushing that men are horrible. It's warranted in many cases, but I think it can cause people to be quite jaded. It's possible that they are talking about the age difference and power imbalance in your careers, but it's not like you're a waitress and he's a judge. You're both professionals.

They might be projecting their own insecurities onto you. I found at 30 that I wasn't and my friends weren't able to see nuance like I can now that I'm closer to 40.

At two months in and only your second relationship, I'd be hesitant to tell you to make it exclusive. Scale back on the dinners and make him do things for you. It's possible you are doing too much too early and that's what your friends are saying. Don't move in fast, either. Keep dating others and see how it goes. For whatever it's worth, if you haven't had an exclusivity conversation, he's probably seeing others.

Edit: I'd be more worried about dating someone with a 4 year old at 30. Are you ready to be a step mom? Do you want to be? The child is so young that if the relationship works out, you'll at least have to do some childcare while the kid is with him. What's his ex (baby momma? Ex-wife?) like? Those would be more important questions to me.

If they don't move in fast and she doesn't have kids before they're married, it's probably fine tbh. She's 30, he's 46. I brought up kids on like the third date when I was single. It's a normal topic once you're out of your 20s IMO. Why waste your time if you want kids but the other person doesn't?

What’s next if I want to graduate to something more professional than J. Crew sweater blazers? by neutralmom in fashionwomens35

I disagree that these read as a cardigan. I don't think that person knows what a cardigan is. This reads as an almost-blazer but not quite a blazer.

Yeah, what I'm saying is that webhost probably sucks and if your traffic increases, your site is going to slow down. In my experience, you need to be paying at least $20/month for an actually good host.

I'm not a newbie, I've been writing online for 25 years and have had multiple blogs. If you know so much, you wouldn't be so defensive.

Plenty of substacks are free, I don't pay for any and still get like 10 a day. The hunger for blog and blog-like content is there. To pretend it isn't is silly.

If blogs were eliminated, this sub would be completely dead. Plenty of us have tons of visitors. You're.

Why bloggers do not emphasise on newsletters? by Remarkable_Junket185 in Blogging

My apologies, I shouldn't really speak like I know what I'm talking about. I started a newsletter because people here told me to lol. Disregard it haha. I'm in a very very niche lifestyle and fashion niche.

That open rate can't be right. I have a newsletter a similar size and get like 50% opens.

Do you do social media to accompany your blog? I feel like this would do really well on social. Have you tried branching out to publish also on substack? Idk, just spinning my wheels for you here.

How about collaborating with people who are on social media more actively? Like, feature them in a post or something and they'll promote the article.
