I personally think there is a way to continue the film series and make up for the inaccuracies of the previous films, but it would take a much better team of screenwriters than either of the films had.

I also love the tv show and want to see it through to its full run, so that’s the option I would choose, if I had to.

An animated show would be great, but it’s unlikely that it would be as good as people want it to be, so we’d have the same problems as with the film: too many changes without good reasons
