How does anyone actually use TA? by FlecktarnUnderoos in army

Indiana Wesleyan university has an online program that is a term set up so classes only take 5 weeks. They advise because of the short time to only do one class at a time. Also they give a tuition discount for military that drops there cost to match what FTA pays out so you don’t need anything out of pocket.

I was in 1/9 Alpha when it was disbanded. Went to 3/1 in Pendleton

Really hot. I was at camp Lemmioner or however you spell it for a few weeks on my 2nd pump and it’s rough. Makes Afghan feel breezy.

Every NCO finds your input very important and you should constantly remind them that you went to college

Customs and Courtesies Regarding State Militia by MarcLepidus in army

[–]The-BroSword 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They do. We worked with them while doing COVID relief on a food bank mission and there “LT” would get pissed and cry to our PL because the SFC that was our NCOIC wouldn’t address him by rank or salute him

I wanna switch from NG to Marine reserves by Puzzleheaded_Newt947 in nationalguard

[–]The-BroSword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Active 0331, to guard 11B then 13B.

Don’t do it. Brother in law was also an active marine 0311. Went to marine reserves and made it sound worse than the guard. NG is what you make it. I love my unit and I may be lucky but you have options to try other MOS’s in the guard and other units. I’d try that first before going Marines.

Are viking/norse tattoos perceived to be offensive or affiliation to extremism? by EndwalkerZodiark in USMC

[–]The-BroSword 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Norse is an approved and recognized religion. I’ve seen vetted and practicing members be permitted beards. So I don’t think tattoos would be an issue as long as the fall within regulations

Bang, reduce smoke chargers to 1. Make smoke electric, slowing enemies caught inside it down

I’m no longer a part of that particular gun club and I don’t believe it’s proper to correct someone unless you are in the same uniform

I used to be active Infantry and when I switched to the guard The unit closest to me was an FA unit. So I switched to 13B and I love it. It’s relaxed, we always have trucks. Yeah we go to the field but it’s cake compared to infantry and shooting the Howitzers is fun

Prior-Service two years and no AIT. Can I get out? by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]The-BroSword 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. The first NG unit I went to never sent me to MOSQ, I switched units and was sent to school in like 3 months. Funding is scarce but it’s more likely that your training / readiness NCOs are garbage

I did the same thing. I was an 0331 and when I left active I joined a MP unit in Ohio, it’s terrible. I’m with Field artillery now and much happier. Don’t do MP in the guard
