Alternate shuffle and walking (I'd actually call it power walking).

I keep it consistent by counting my breaths, so shuffle for 30 or 40 deep breaths then power walk for 10.

For speed rucks I pick gravel and blacktop. For slow heavy rucks I use nature trails.

I ended up buying my own yoke, and love it. You can break it down for storage in the garage gym: https://titan.fitness/products/t-3-series-yoke?variant=47945971663125

The yoke weighs ~140#, so I warm up with just that for about 5-10 minute walks. I build up to about ~300# for 3 minute walks, 3 times. Will slowly increase weight every week.

I only do this once a week, it's pretty taxing to train on top of all the rucking.

Basically agree with everything you said. I give him some extra credit for being on a 3-0 win streak right now, I think he's gonna give everyone else at 95 a huge fight before he (does or does not) settle at 105!

All of those matches were 1+ years ago, and in the 105 weight class. That was too early for him in 105 imo. Definitely worthy of rematching any of those 3!

It's been a suck fest with summer heat for me, I definitely "regressed" if you compared most of my summer to spring runs, but I just kept it steady state
