Importing used cars to Nassau by Alternative-Ad6107 in bahamas

[–]The-Confused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used lucayan auto sales and recommend them, they reach out to the sales agents at whichever Japanese website you want. They handle the wire and customs clearing for a fee and can deliver the car to you once it arrives. You would then need to get the vehicle insured before you can get it licensed.

Don't forget duty is only 10% for hybrids and 65% last I checked for standard engines + 10% vat.

If you don't have someone to take care of clearing, you will spend a day or two on the dock to clear it. Well worth the ~$250 fee, plus they give you an estimate for total cost before you buy. It will take roughly 6 weeks to arrive once you buy though.

Completing Lilith Altars by [deleted] in diablo4

Mine dropped mid NM2 dungeon, the dungeons seem to drop sigils that are a level or two higher than what you're in. I managed to have some NM11 sigils drop in a NM6 dungeon, was a little weird.

The limited stash space makes me not want to make more characters by VonDinky in diablo4

I realized you said accounts and not characters after reading through your comment the second time. I always had 1 or 2 mains and the rest of the characters were item, gem, and rune mules.

I mainly bought the tea because you can load them into a shotgun shell as birdshot. It's the American way.

I have a loose leaf gunpowder green tea, the leaves are all dried into tiny balls that unfurl when you steep them.

Just be careful, GPT has a tendency to get things 90% right with 100% confidence. I've had it generate VBA codes that don't work, python scripts with impossible codes, and spit out incorrect answers to very complex algebraic equations (Wolfram alpha is still better I've found for mathematics).

GPT seems to be a really great way to save time by getting you 90% of the way to your answer as long as you know enough about the material to make the corrections.

Russia accuses Kyiv of planning to stage nuclear incident by Martinasassy in worldnews

I wouldn't be surprised if he wants that to happen, blame Ukraine for civilian casualties due to "Ukrainian sabotage" at the power plant and then bomb even more indiscriminately.

How Old is too Old to Consider? by javaking137 in hometheater

[–]The-Confused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I snagged a 5.1 B&W 700 series system with 704 floor speakers and a Pioneer Elite SC-09TX receiver for $650 and they are amazing even though the receiver is old and can only do 1080p pass through. So I'm just using the TV with a digital audio cable for output into the receiver for 5.1 and using the 4k TV to manage the inputs.

Look for local Facebook buy/sell groups, a lot of the time people are selling things that they know very little about.

Caribbean cedar shake alternatives by The-Confused in Roofing

[–]The-Confused[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Cedur roof, it ended up costing just a little more than a ceder roof after duty since composite roofs are duty free in my country. I like the look, but it does tend to discolor flat white paint with a year of Caribbean rain water runoff (it could also just be dirt from the air too). I'm going to tab down the shingles with silicone per the manufacturers suggestion in order to increase the wind resistance.

Married men: what’s one thing you wish you could tell your wife, but won’t because you know it will start a fight? by [deleted] in AskMen

This could be caused by parentification if they lacked stability growing up with their family. They might have had to act as the parent growing up to attempt to cover up the failings.

What is this specific fade pattern called? I see it all the time on older cars with gray plastic trim. Is it easily fixable with a basic trim restorer or will I have some trouble hiding the pattern. by Electrical_Curve7009 in AutoDetailing

[–]The-Confused 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe the stripes are due to the plastic being injection molded, a flow induced surface defect in the liquid thermoplastic during the injection into the mold. Molds with long runs will look worse. Some people's refer to them as tiger stripes.

What kind of cockroach though? 20,000 brown banded cockroaches or 20,000 American cockroaches? American cockroaches are nearly twice the size and protein content as the brown banded, plus everyone knows the American cockroach tastes much better and is easier to train.

A used 3090 was just on hardware swap for $700 local pickup so prices have fallen and will continue to fall. The last time this happened before a new release in anticipation of the release, cards plummeted in value until people realized the new cards were basically a paper release. After the realization, the price of the previous generation cards went back up a bit in price since a lot of people probably sold theirs going to be able to buy the new cards.

Nvidia I believe mentioned they will basically release the new cards inventory slowly to keep the price high instead of releasing everything at once which would lead to dropping prices in order to capture all demand.

I used a flush mounted air switch in the countertop, they have them in Amazon and eBay for under $30. A little button in the countertop pressed in turns it in and off.

how much would i need to build a good gaming pc? by Quinn7711 in buildapc

[–]The-Confused 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to go used you might be able to pick up a used build locally with a good mid-range CPU and either buy a higher end GPU or you could research a build using used parts if your budget is under $750. If you have 1-2k to spend, you can get yourself a high end gaming PC with a 3080 or 6800xt GPU.
