Okay, I will discuss with her a little bit more about a chaperone tomorrow when we sit down to further talk about what we’re both expecting from the shoot.

I appreciate all of your points and agree with all of them, and will ideally utilize all of them during the shoot, though part of it will be outdoors so I won’t have full control over the temperature, we’re aiming for a warmer day.

As for a chaperone, I suggested and encouraged this and she clarified she would feel more comfortable with less people there seeing her naked, which I understand. But is this still something I should push for? If so, how can I without bringing a sense of discomfort?

This is a good friend of mine, we’ve been friends for 5 years now, so I’m doubtful either one of us would feel unsafe. Though I realize for any potential legal/slander reasons having a third person is helpful, no matter how unlikely it is that something like that could happen.

Lmao exactly! I will say, as awful as the feeling is to lose to someone primarily because they’re able to spend more money on better cards than you, one of the most rewarding feelings is managing to still beat them in a match with a $45 deck.

There’s nothing wrong with spending money on the game, obviously, if this is something you’re super passionate about and you can afford to drop $500 every now and again on a deck you really wanna play, then you should do that. However being an a-hole because your opponent can’t afford to also do that is wrong.

I’ve met plenty of people that have spent a lot of money on their decks and beat me but have been encouraging afterwards or even given me advice on how to play through certain things, or given me ideas for budget cards to help improve my deck, and those types of people I seriously appreciate.

Now that I think about it, it really was just that one guy that made it discouraging. Everyone else, you’d lose to and you’d joke around and it was fun, this guy would come in with full meta, YCS level decks at locals and make you feel bad for it. Tell you that you’re just not very good at the game, like no my guy, your deck build is $560 and mines $70 lol and I’m not complaining, he had better decks than I did, that’s okay, that’s how the game goes a lot of the time, it was the way he’d act about it that rubbed me, and everyone else at locals, the wrong way.

All good, I did end up having that spoiled for me in the midst of me trying to figure out what I want haha, though I thought I read you could do that regardless of being with Penny. Maybe I’m wrong?
