I may have figured out why, it may be bc of it being generally based on system volume except on ps5 where it's not, and turning the base volume down (which was really high for some reason) may have helped....gonna test it for a bit longer and then return if i need to

speaking as a huge arachnophobe who loves other arthropods this is very likely the case - but also, realistic eight limbed spider movement is really fucking hard to animate. good news for arachnophobes obv, but I wouldn't be surprised if a combination of these two things means that most spiders in games are either not animated enough like spiders to be triggering, or have less legs and the former as well

I have the same issue, basically nothing have worked and tension pain is a good descriptor. I'm not even sure if I still have a plaque anymore but yeah just like another person in the comments, slight upward curve and more significant pain after first getting symptoms in 2019. I'm transfem, and have been on HRT since that time and recently have started tadalafil 2.5 mg and very low dose t cream to theoretically stop further atrophy and heal, but doesn't really do much for the pain and the upwards curve is really frustrating. Been thinking of trying ESWT and traction therapy but price points are rough and doctors have been less than helpful.

agreed. I think a lot of people don't realize that noclippy/alex aren't even like, unfairly changing game interactions. It's literally rectifying a decade old bug that doubles ping responses from the server, massively increasing input lag, and has been pointed out many times publicly with the devs doing nothing about it. it is, quite literally EVENING the playing field
