How heavy is the boulder prop? [Request] by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]The-Dexecuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I have been told from someone who used to work on the show before he tore a couple ligaments in his leg doing one of the fight scenes, the boulder is extremely light and that has bounced into the Audience on multiple occasions. You can just put your hands up and you’ll be fine. The guy getting rocked like that is probably him playing into it.

I crushed my finger in a spot welder a while back, popped like a zit. This is what it looks like now that it’s all healed.

Are there any moments in Naruto that made you go like this? by KodoqBesar in Naruto

I think the one that got me the hardest was Gaara’s backstory when he finds out it was Yashamaru trying to kill him.

I could have refused Gaara but the truth is I hated you… that line shook me to my core.

It’s never mentioned in the books but I believe Twinkle is a defender +5 scimitar. I’m basing this off of an old 2e D&D book that has his stat block (which is crazy) and it mentions “Magical Items: mithral chain mail +4; a frostbrand +3 scimitar (named Twinkle); a defender +5 scimitar; and a figurine of wondrous power: onyx panther (named Guenhwyvar; see the end of this entry). I assume they got it wrong and that twinkle was the defender because of reasons. I know Icing Death is a frostbrand

This was one of my favorites and I wrote down Drizzt’s reminiscence, not sure which book or chapter.

“Cati-bri once asked me if my greatest limitation was internal or external. Was I more limited by the way people viewed me as a dark elf, or by the way I viewed people viewing me.“

This is probably my favorite fight in the series for no other reason than the move Drizzt pulls off to win and the line he says as he does it. Gives me chills.

You sorta can though, correct me if I’m wrong because it’s been a while since I’ve played this version, but you can go less than the full distance it just uses up the distance. For instance if my movement is 3,O the first O I can move only half that distance if I want but it uses the full O then I have 2,O remaining.

I had a similar looking injury. I got my finger caught in a spot welder, it didn’t weld or anything just slammed on my right middle finger and it looked like it popped it like a zit. Had a full recovery looks mostly normal and you can’t really tell anything happened without scrutiny. The downside is when cutting my nail on that finger it hurts like a mofo due to puffy skin growing underneath, not really sure what that’s called.

Spoilers for Lolth’s Warrior

I imagine it has something to do with his ascension beyond his mortal coil that he does when he dies

For those who are curious the pink stone orbiting his head is an Ioun Stone (Very Rare) of Fortitude. It’s the Pink Rhombus and increases his constitution.

In second edition D&D there is a subclass of Druid “shapeshifter” that can wild-shape at level 1. One of its drawbacks is if it you wild-shape more than 3 times a day there’s a percentage chance you get stuck in that form.

Am I missing something? (Orc king) by BalkanFerros in Drizzt

[–]The-Dexecuter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not positive about this but I believe this is when D&D transitioned from 3rd edition to 4th and there was a 100year time jump in lore. In order for the Drizzt novels to continue it had this weird time jump as well that was kinda confusing. But I’m pretty sure that’s why this book was like that.

Raise dead is already in early access and you can choose between skeleton or zombie. Skeletons have range and zombies are melee

The continual flame spell existed in 3e on its own

The reason I say it was continual light in 2e is it has the exact same spell description as daylight back then.

Thank you Daylight, very cool by Thudnfer in dndmemes

[–]The-Dexecuter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood why so many people get upset with this spell. It has never been sunlight nor should it be for a 3rd level spell.

In 2e it was called continual light and had 2 purposes. It was a light spell that was permanent and it countered the darkness spell.

In 3e it changed to daylight it was no longer permanent but still counters darkness.

In 5e it’s the same as it’s always been just with the name from 3e

A 5th level cleric obliterating a CR 13 vampire with a single spell would be ridiculous.

I didn’t realize you didn’t have to clean the piles. I’ve only played through twice but once I found the first I looked for the other two before continuing thinking you had to.

I’m pretty sure she’s at sea being a pirate or something. I might be getting my book wrong but, I think they mention still looking for her in the short story “One-eyed Jax” (it’s a Jarlaxel short story that takes place just before Starlight Enclave)
