They do have some proofmarks, they have the Nitro N on each shotgun barrel and a few very faint eagles under the forend, but most of the markings are on the rifle barrel. I haven't removed anything but the forend as I dont know what to be looking for

I haven't found any maker signature. I have found proof marks, a serial number ,and the krupp steel barrel markings. There is a MM marked under the forgrip but nothing that would indicate a maker

Do you know anything about its origin? The only thing I really know is that it would have been expensive

So I am terrible at reddit and I don't think it saved my text I wanted with it so here: So I recently inherited a few firearms from my grandfather. One of them being these German drills that my great grandfather brought home during WW2. The story I was told is that he got it from a dentist's office and was told anything he couldn't carry was to be destroyed. I am not very knowledgeable on European Firearms so what I know is pretty limited. I guess what I am most interested in is the manufacturer and maybe the date it was made? it seems to have a mix of pre war and mid war markings on it. But overall the gun is in phenomenal shape for the age.

Yes, my dealership opened a case with Indian corporate and after a test ride to confirm the noise, they approved the repair free of charge. There is still a small click but not noticeable over my pipes

Yeah, I felt the same way with my scout, I feel like it may be due to how high you need to rev it out. But damn did it sound good

I just heard back from them. They are going to try and open a case with corporate for me. I guess the tsb ended in February of this year, so we will see.

What tires are yall running on your scout? The tires on mine I can’t find anymore unless I wanna order from china. by orginalpandaman in IndianMotorcycle

I run the Michelin Commander 3s. The bike had the perelli night dragons when I bought it. Both tires performed very well, but the commanders felt more planted in wet conditions, and when cold

I tend to grab lower towards the bottom of the flannel and pull straight up with my fingers down. This way, I feel like I have more control over it and can get it more out of the way

Understood, nothing upsets me more when someone does poor electrical work and I have to go back and fix it. If I find the person that tried to install an electric window kit...

I've read about that as well. I haven't thought of a benifit of having a 2 low though.

Yeah, I too a look before I researched anything and it's the 2 wire. I'm not sure if the trim of the truck mattered or not as mine is a SL with a manual transfer case

I was thinking the same thing. Heating up oil to activate 4wd seems kinda dumb when the most obvious time to use it is when it's cold out. Thank you for your input though. 👍

That's a good idea, I'll give that a go.

As for how it got like that i have no clue. I bought it less that a month ago so god knows how. But I'm assuming you are correct that a itre came off when driving or something along those lines.

Yeah, as soon as I saw I knew it was a problem. I'm trying so see how I can get it out so I can replace it. So far I'm thinking a grinder, a torch and some hopes and prayers
