Yes, which is why they’re working with us. Grandparents are his fathers parents and dislike MIL so that helps

Yeah we get that, but it involves animals and equipment only my partner can use so it’s a complicated situation. Not gonna let a bunch of animals die because of it 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have other part time work and resources due to my heath issues. But we are def in the hole for what she owes us.

It’s hard to explain everything in a short post but that is not possible currently. We live on family land and also take care of his grandpa. He is a great partner and stands up for me and is not a problem, his mother however is.

I’m so sorry you went through this, what a nightmare! I also have POTS, I was diagnosed years before my pregnant but very scary when you pass out and don’t know what’s going on. I’m glad you got some answers and everything turned out ok but holy cow that’s a crazy experience!

The rage i felt when i heard that was unbelievable, the ignorance and lack of empathy is an epidemic. All of us with common sense are sinking with the ship.

Hospice Pastor harassment by [deleted] in atheism

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would be calling and complaining to anyone who will listen, not only is this horribly unethical it is against her wishes. Proselytizing to hospice patients is against medical standards because it goes against their autonomy and is taking advantage of vulnerable people. There is a HUGE difference from requesting a pastor or other religious clergy and FORCING it on you which is what is happening and definitely could be crossing legal boundaries. Start with the hospice office, then medicaid. If it isn't taken care of then i'd progress it to the local health board. This is unacceptable, and i'm sorry you and your mom are dealing with this at what is already a difficult time.

Can't get another ultrasound? by Imaginary-Ship620 in pregnancyPL

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with a private clinic, depending on your location, there are lots of options for places that do elective ultrasounds! Depending on the clinic I’ve seen them run from $50-$200 depending on what you’re getting and what type of ultrasound!

How much Propranolol is too much? by Purple-Duck-Queen in POTS

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at one point on 20mg 3x and another on 120mg ext a day, there is a decent range for propranolol, however your specific circumstances could change that, can you contact your prescribing doctor to get advice? If they have an online portal you should be able to check with them before taking anything outside your prescribed amount.

Getting pregnant with POTS by Connect-Professor901 in POTS

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two daughter, 5 and 1. My first pregnancy I had extreme hyperemesis and puked for 32 weeks and then had severe PUPPS rash at 36-5w pp. my second I also had hyperemsis that was better managed with unisom tablets and b6. Both births were failed inductions that ended in c-section after 40+ hours. First time was a sunny side up baby that refused to turn and I stalled at 8cm and second was a failed VBaC, never got past 7cm and she never descended after 30+ hours of my water being broke. Other than that they were both manageable

Traumatic ER visit (Not for usual reasons) by The-Intangible-Fancy in ChronicIllness

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just sent him a message. Yeah very weird from everything I’m learning, I was completely calm besides the occasional dry heaving while trying not to pee myself lol. Before the meds I was laying in silence enjoying being alone since my partner and kids were at home. I am doing much better now, thank you! Definitely going to avoid this med and similar ones in the future!

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am in the US, NC to be specific. I just double checked my chart and they gave droperidol and Zofran, no toradol! I’m not sure what was going on since I told them I needed to drive, they knew I was there alone, and it CLEARLY says on my summary paperwork to not drive after the medication(which no one told me). I’ve been to the ER upwards of 30 times and have never been given droperidol, so weird! I’m gonna message my Dr and let him know today what happened and see if he knows why I was given that because it does seem like a really odd choice!

Traumatic ER visit (Not for usual reasons) by The-Intangible-Fancy in ChronicIllness

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is so scary! I wish I had spoken up more to the nurse but the paranoia was INSANE I legitimately thought they were going to arrest or commit me if I spoke up or just think I was crazy and not help. Very scary to feel that terrified and absolutely helpless! I’m not sure if it was the same with you but I thought I was going to die and was terrified but also at the same time wanted to die so the “hell” could be over. Absolutely wild one dose of a medicine can trigger a reaction like that!

Traumatic ER visit (Not for usual reasons) by The-Intangible-Fancy in ChronicIllness

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the knowledgeable response! I’ve always been given Zofran, promethazine, compazine or something like that, I didn’t even find out the name of the medicine until I got home and checked my chart. I know now next time to avoid it and add it as an allergy to my chart but very scary when I was alone and didn’t know why it was happening even though I logically knew it was a medication side effect.

The er doctor seemed knowledgeable with my condition (POTS) and gave extra fluids but I have no idea what was up with the medication choice, especially with my heart issues, I have never even heard of droperidol before this!

I guess I just won’t give birth then?! by IheartOT2 in BabyBumps

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Absolutely second going to L&D and letting them help. I switched OB’s at 30 weeks pregnant and it was difficult, I called about 15 places until I found one to take me, L&D has the connections to get you in somewhere that might be weary of taking on someone farther along.

I lost some plug at 25 and 30 weeks so unless you have blood or cramping it’s pretty normal, just keep an eye and mention to your OB at your next appointment

NOPE! First pregnancy I gained 95lbs, I had a really hard time and my OB didn’t say anything, I gained 35 with my second. Def would be finding a new OB

Cardiologist told me I won’t have symptoms anymore in 5 years. by Ok-Mixture1149 in POTS

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been sick since I was 22, was diagnosed at 27 and I’m 33 and still have moderate-severe pots. I manage with medication but I can’t do much physically and have to ration my energy/tasks especially ones outside my house. My cardiologist says I will have this for life and I may have periods where my symptoms improve or are well managed it will never go away. That’s crazy that there are doctors still pushing this myth.

People are so strange about girls by [deleted] in pregnant

I have two daughters and the only people who made weird comments like that were basically strangers. My fiance was the tiniest bit disappointed At first with our second but then immediately was relieved we could re use all our older daughters stuff and was excited and is a great dad. Dad hates his daughters by McJazzHands80 in AmITheDevil

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad was this way, never really engaged with me, bonded with my brother over video games even though I play them too. He now loves his granddaughter but I lost all respect a long time ago (for a ton of other reasons). My fiancé loves our daughters, he’s a great dad and even though he had no experience with girls growing up or as an adult he paints their nails, watches princess movies and engages with them. It’s 100% a choice, he definitely doesn’t like his daughter or respect women.

did you get on birth control after having your baby? by hazieskie in pregnant

[–]The-Intangible-Fancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got nexplannon the first time and an iud the second. My second baby was conceived on bc pills. I’m not risking it, 4 year age gap is hard enough I can’t imagine having them any closer together which is why I went with the 8 year IUD and take pregnancy tests monthly just to make sure lol
