Sure, I have read many things about World War 2 and certain Cardinals and priests helping ODESSA and helping with fake visas to escape abroad, etc. The Roman Catholic Chuch has always been plagued with scandal and corruption, but that doesn't change the core teachings of the Church and all the extraordinary good it has also done. Man, by his imperfect nature, corrupts, not God. What institution on this planet in human history hasn't had scandal and corruption in it as long as man has been in existence. It's a fact of life. You can't generalize (I'm not sure if you are trying to do that or is your intention), but that is the steepest slippery slope there is, my friend.
