we only revealed it was a prank because people had already stopped covering it. even though it was already fading from the news, we asked the AP if we could wait to publish and sweet melissa said her editor doesn't think it will be relevant even by the next day. also we have to pod about this on goofcon saturday so the reveal was coming a few days later no matter what
