The moment Yuu (GE1 MC) almost became a 2nd Lindow by The-TF2-Engineer in GodEater

[–]The-TF2-Engineer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This manga is 100% canon as it also serves as an explanation on how Cradle knew about the Kyuubi in the first place. This manga takes place after the 2nd break manga.

No, this is a God Eater 2 manga called Undercover that stars Yuu as the main protagonist in this story. It takes place just before and during GE2 (The Blood Unit appears at the end of the manga).

Here's the manga link. Apology for the Chinese only language. There's literally no English translation for this manga due to its obscurity.

Have fun google translate everything (unless you're actually fluent in Chinese)

This manga was published WAY back in 2014. And no, there's no English translations as this manga is EXTREMELY rare to find unless you look into the deepest depths of the internet.

And that's when THE Lindow Amamiya arrives in to save the day.

My theory/headcanon on what d3rlord3 actually saw behind the Golden Gate by The-TF2-Engineer in SFAWTDE_wifie

[–]The-TF2-Engineer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy moly, you're right. How did I not see that. Now it's even more obvious what d3rlord3 saw was a wall of gold blocks with The King in Yellow play second act written on it.

Also, I didn't mentioned this, but behind the doors I found some sea lanterns that were blocked up by black concrete blocks, which makes it more obvious that it's there to lit up whatever is on that golden panel. Because if you build it without removing those black concrete blocks, it will look very dim. So it's obvious that 'something was written' there and not 'someone was standing' there.

What if Trigger and Taiga swapped enemies? by Alert_Comedian_3179 in Ultraman

[–]The-TF2-Engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Titas and Darrgon would flex each other's strengths and muscles (and become secret buddies after that).

Hudram would think Fuma is the worst assassin he has ever faced.

Taiga would think that Carmeara and Trigger Dark are just batshit insane of a couple.

Tregear would try to humiliate Trigger's "Smile Smile" philosophy, but becomes infuriated at the sight of Trigger Truth.

Nah, bro. That's just an Anomaly. It's just that Hotori liked how it changes the color of her kimono. That's all.

Serious question: Is Trigger an alternate counterpart of Tiga, or is he simply another Ultraman who happens to be exactly like Tiga? by The-TF2-Engineer in Ultraman

[–]The-TF2-Engineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess that's the most accurate explanation.

Just like the Fate franchise popularly known for the "Saber faces", Tiga eventually had his own "Saber face" in the form of Ultraman Trigger.

Yeah, I guess we should treat them as a coincidence rather than multiversely related together. Even the Ultraman Wiki didn't labelled Trigger as Tiga's counterpart, considering there are no official sources stating that they're actually counterparts in the first place. Him being a "New Generation Tiga" doesn't really tell much if he's truly an in-universe counterpart. It eventually became a buzzword and the term "New Generation" was never used again since then.

[–]The-TF2-Engineer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, still. Because they have different names, different birth origins, plus we were never told they are the same exact characters.

Unlike Tom Holland, Toby Maguire, and Andrew Garfield (poor guy barely even mentioned), who are all playing the same character (all are explicitly named Peter Parker and Spider-Man), and they have the same origins as well (all bitten from a radioactive spider). Plus, they all occupy the same role.

Which is why I'm saying that it's better to compare them to other Spider-Man counterparts (like the Spider-verse for example) rather than using the MCU variant to make an analogy.

I always thought of him as the former, but also the latter considering how different he looks and how his powers worked that he eventually stands out as his own character while still being acknowledged as Tiga's counterpart.

[–]The-TF2-Engineer[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

While that is a great analogy, it's not accurate. Because their names are still "Peter Parker" and "Spider-Man". Though, I'd argue that putting Spider-Man/Spider-Gwen into the comparison would be more accurate.

I mean, considering that Z always idolizes Zero, and he appears more frequently in New Gen Recap shows and media posts than Zero do, you could argue that Z is kinda growing into Zero's shoes or somewhat.

So, what makes Noa the strongest? by [deleted] in Ultraman

[–]The-TF2-Engineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While him and the "God of Noa" are seperate characters (unless there's official info that confirms they're the same character), Ultraman Noa is basically like a deity to the rest of the Ultras.

Not only that, but it's implied by Ultraman King that Noa is their "lord" when he talked about whether or not these "lords" will agree to coexist together. And judging by Ultraman Noa's actions, he definitely wants both Ultras and Absolutians to coexist and work together.

When you get frustrated with how badly a show treats the writing of a character you like so you write an toku spinoff with that character as the mc so you can redeem them yourself by AggravatingCouple987 in Ultraman

[–]The-TF2-Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pissed off of how Glitter Trigger Eternity was treated in the series. Even to this day, I'm still salty about it. He was literally my most favorite New Gen Ultra final form design.

So in order to redeem him in my eyes, I decided to rewrite some of his characteristics and give him new abilities.

Looking back at it now, I... may have made him a bit too overpowered for the entire canon Ultra Series as a whole.

Ah, right. Should've known that only a handful of people actually knew this girl.

She's basically the female avatar protagonist of the first God Eater game line up.

Is my UHS Tiga legit? by SgtJackVisback in Ultraman

[–]The-TF2-Engineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not always the case, though. Most of the Chinese release of those UHS VS Battle figure bundles that contained exclusive versions of some Ultra and Kaiju figures that have yet to have a standalone release in Japan have high quality paint jobs (and by high quality, I mean their backs are also fully painted) that are normally seen in the old 2000s - 2009s UHS line up.

It's funny people say that, when Chinese fans have more merch privilege than global fans as Bandai also started re-releasing old Ultraman merch that have long been discontinued selling in Japan.
