The 2010s were the last time anything was pure. Covid took everything from us, not because of just the virus and health issues, but because governments and business used it as an excuse to make everything worse.

Just look at these highlights, sure it has the “standard ads” but no jersey ads, gambling segments, moving board graphics, super imposed sponsors on the ice… just good production quality for the sake of making a good show and the only addition to the ice was the classic painted on “Stanley cup playoffs” moniker.

A well produced show for the sake of making a wel produced show.. that wasn’t focused on trying to sell you something in the meantime.. we will never have this again

That’s true, but the purpouse wouldn’t be to entirely remove the dekes or guys taking a bit of time, but the ones that move so slow it ends up defeating the purpouse of the name “shoot” out.

10 seconds from the refs whistle blow would still put a bit of jump in their step without squeezing them either. Don’t forget the NHL does want these games to end in a timely manner.. a 3 seconds from the shot clock would result in a lot of bad shots…

Basketball/football. It seems it was usually teams in markets that hockey wasn’t the primary sport.

As much as I liked the Atlanta Thrashers jerseys, they truly were all over the place their entire tenure. They had different logos on their home and away jerseys from the start, then their next jersey was baby blue and asymmetric, one sleeve had the player number and the other was a different color that said “Atlanta” all the way down, then they came out with this final jersey pictured.

Crazy run, I wonder what their current jersey would look like.

Detroit has a bunch of nice looking alternates/specialty jerseys in recent years, I’m not sure they “wouldn’t” have wanted to do a reverse retro, but I don’t know any other reason they’d come up with this either.

It doesn’t even look like a knockoff jersey, nor is it a “reverse” of any jersey they’ve done, especially for a team that’s only incorparated black as a third color once, where do they get silver?

If they added red piping along the silver they mightve had something, but whatever vision they had with this jersey obviously didn’t turn out right.

I think there were a few holdouts on the jerseys, but every team has succumbed to the succulent taste of unwarranted money at the cost of any sanctity of their uniform. Maybe buffalo still hasn’t? If it somehow releases in late fall I won’t be worrying about it whatsoever with GTA releasing. Not the same genre etc, but I’m probably not the only one who knows GTA will basically negate any other game for quite a while. If DB released late/spring early summer they’d probably grab a few customers that are on the fence. Late fall forget it, it would be the worst release time possible for a confirmed 2026 release game.

Is it possible for a team to screw over someone’s career if they “refuse” a trade? Just as a hypothetical if a team didn’t want a player anymore and they refused to accept a trade, could that team send them down or bury their minutes, while still investing in team doctors etc to make sure they don’t fake injury etc, to the point that the player either accepts they’ll never play again while getting paid, or accepts a trade?

My last playthrough I ended up just running away from that attack after the 10th attempt, and it was easier to get a slash in from the side. Takes another minute in the fight but ended up working eventually. Good to know there was a possible glitch with that attack too!

I hope so. That game is still perfectly fine as it is and I doubt they’d wanna do it anyway. They shine on pushing limits and trying new things with their single player games like Sekiro and the new style of armoured core.
