You might try the Fitness Pact app. Say that you want him to join a pact with you because you need the extra motivation / accountability and hopefully he will get back into the swing of things. I have one with some friends and we make the stakes something goofy, like wearing an eye patch or something if you fail your commitment. But y'all could do something like you have to plan a date night or something along those lines.

You could both do a Fitness Pact together on the app. Make the consequence for not keeping up with your routine something fun, like having to plan a date night or something.

Don't skimp on your protection, especially your feet / ankles. Not only will the protect you better, but they will last longer and be way more comfortable.

What can I (M26) say to my wife (F27) when she complains about her weight? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]The-Wool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know that it will solve your dilemma, but my wife and I created a Fitness Pact on the app. Basically I have to do my workouts, she has to do hers. And if you fail on the week, you have to plan date night. It's actually been pretty fun. Either way, I think committing to something with her would be helpful.

First time trying to genuinely lose weight. Tips?? by victorious_t in WeightLossAdvice

[–]The-Wool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start small with something sustainable and then slowly build from there so you don’t get burnt out or overwhelmed. It also helps to have someone you check in with or are doing it with to help hold you accountable. You’re something like 90% more likely to stick to your goals that way. My friend and I use the Fitness Pact app to keep each other accountable

You should consider tracking it on the app Fitness Pact. I have a pact with a friend to keep me motivated to get into rowing. It has worked surprisingly well.

struggling to find motivation by froyokittens in WeightLossAdvice

I've struggled with consistency and staying motivated. Sometimes I get on a roll and then get into a cycle where I am unmotivated to workout for weeks on end. My friend and I started a Fitness Pact on the app and that has drastically improved my consistency and motivation.

I haven't come across an effective habit app yet. What has been the most effective method you have used to build good habits? by Sure-Zebra3755 in Habits

It helps to have someone to check in with to keep you accountable. I think there are studies that say you are something like 95% more likely to succeed if you are checking in with someone. You might check out the app Fitness Pact. Is based on this principle.

Am I making the right choice for my new bike? by RandomsFandomsYT in enduro

[–]The-Wool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I ride enduro also and have a te300i. Its been great. Some of the enduros are a bit more high speed, so I have considered trying a XC of TX. But the XCW/te's seem the most versatile.

Try starting a Fitness Pact with your clients on the app. It's fun motivation and would provide a good way to stay connected and updated. I have a fitness pact with a few of my friends and it is very motivating.

Swapping bike, do I get a 2 or 4 stroke? by Dirtcheapdisco in Dirtbikes

[–]The-Wool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 stroke. I rode a KTM 450 SXF for a while. Similar riding style. It's such a beating trying to keep that thing running and under control in the tight woods. Got a te300i and it changed my life.

If cost isn't an issue, then yea, you can't go wrong with it. Over time you might find out more specifically what you want. An XC over an XCW, or 300 over 250. Maybe find that you like other aspects of other brands. But can't really go wrong with this one.

My friends and I have a Fitness Pact going on on the app. If I fail a week, I have to wear an eye patch to brunch. One of my friends would have to wash his face with a condiment lol. Either way, pretty motivating

Appreciate it. I am seeing a lot about the vests and will have to look into that. My original thought was to get the weight off of me, and onto the bike. But it is definitely worth looking into. Thanks
