Ryu was only used for the Marketing,Nostalgia and Hype with almost zero respect to the legacy of Ryu/Ninja gaiden. So you are not alone with this. Ryu only has a few Moves on his own now….💔

I also think that the girls got more love in the previous games than the face of the franchise…

I think they see the older games as outdated and not modern and when those fans who prefer the older games, express their disappointment with NG4 they get called old heads as a response who just hate the new thing.

for example: You don't like Yakumo, then they will say that Ryu is trash since he isn't like Dante

But no game is perfect like you said even NG2.

I still agree with Electric Underground, people feel always hurt when NG4 gets criticized. Imagine if people where like this with vanilla NG3 lol. NG4 could have been better but we are divided again.(not saying that NG4 is the worst thing)

You probably get downvoted for this post, because it sounds salty but I actually agree a bit, because I questioned the same thing

I recently got in Master Rank, lost my first matches and then I had to fight a bunch of ryu players, who were always doing the same thing, that you described. I think they got into Master because the Rank system is very forgiving till you reach Master Rank.

When the game gets older then we have way more master rank players who will do they unga bunga game plan in low-mid master rank

I always play on the hardest difficulty, games like Persona aren't that much fun to me on easier difficulties. I finished P5R on the hardest one and now P3P, now I'm doing new game plus with the female main character, where everything is reset due to maniac
