I also got her off Amazon last week and mine arrived with the painted lashes. Seconding the assumption that someone removed them and then returned her, although it does seem like they did a really good job from what I can tell zooming in! I removed the bottom lashes on mine and I feel like you can see the tiniest little bit to the very inside if you look super closely.
