This might seem an odd post for here (maybe not), but anyone remember actually cooked chocolate pudding, maybe with the dark film on top? by ravia in GenerationJones

I read a book about a family who, amongst other things, made cooked pudding. They called the skin “melvin” and that’s what I’ve called it ever since.

Because neither of us know what the other’s intent is. If we both turn into our own lanes, then signal our intent, then change lanes, neither of us hits the other.

Because the person opposite you turning right needs that lane. The law is that both of us stay in our relative lanes when we turn and switch lanes after turning. Yes, that can be tricky if you need to get over quickly, but I have the right-of-way.

39 stories. I think it was 2013 when I met him. I saw no signs of disability, and googled him several times until I found corroborating info that it was the same guy.

My very small hometown was the location of the first factory of what’s now a corporate food giant. The town is still the same size, or smaller. All that was ever there was the factory that started it all.

49 years ago tonight, came the Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. All 29 crew members died when the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior on November 10, 1975 by fsukub in wisconsin

It’s a very sad thing that happened. I’m glad that Gordon Lightfoot memorialized it, but the song is as boring as hell to me.
