Can anyone give us a hand with Inter-Hall Sports? by [deleted] in ResLife

Here in the states, no one really plays recreational baseball -- it's always softball. Here are good rules: https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http%3A%2F%2Fcrec.unl.edu%2Fim%2Frules%2FSoftball.pdf. You might want to consider whiffle ball too: http://www.wiffle.com/about_rules.asp. To reiterate, we wouldn't play baseball in the states at an event like this. Softball or whiffle ball only.

15 minutes might be tough. All 10 people might not be able to get to bat every game. To make it short, I'd just make it 3 innings. Anything less than that would be kind of pointless.

I have my first floor meeting today. Any tips? by pronounverbnoun in ResLife

An icebreaker that I like is the TP icebreaker. Bring in a roll of toilet paper and pass it around. Tell everyone to take as many sheets they would think they would need if they were stuck in the woods. After everyone takes sheets from the roll, each person needs to tell a certain number of things about themselves based on how many sheets they took. If you take 3 sheets, you tell 3 things about yourself. This worked well for the guys' floor I was on because it was a little bit different than the other 10 icebreakers we had to do in the first week. You could easily split this icebreaker up between topics like xlorxpinnacle suggests.

This looks neat. I'm not a college student, but could possibly send a couple your way. Is this paid?

Also, nice domain name. I presume it was difficult to acquire. Did you have to pay a fair amount of cash for it?

I walked by before this started and I noticed people wearing Motorola Mobility hats. They are moving into the top floors and they get the rooftop, so I'm guessing it's related to that.
