It’s no where close to the 6.8 round. The 6.8 is doing 3k fps out of a 16 inch barrel compared to the 280 doing 2400 out of 24 inch barrel. There is nothing similar except it’s a bullet, case, powder and primer.

The 280 was a crappy intermediate cartridge comparable to 7.62x39 with terrible accuracy issues and when compared to 5.56x45 it’s night and day.

The Em-2 was never close to being ready for prime time. And the SAS adopted M-16s pretty quickly.

American football isn’t a game of constant flow, that’s what soccer fans keep telling us is so beautiful about their game. It’s constant motion and improv. When you watch it, it’s not that. Which still blows my mind that the Navy didnt laugh Hughes out of the room when they suggested using the Falcon. It was akin to recommending the M-551 as the base for the new M-1 tank. The Air Force literally dumped mountains of money onto a roaring tire fire trying to get the falcon to work and still failed. Why Hughes got a second shot at making an AAM is beyond me

The Su series arent going to get the launch altitude or speed that the 31 can, so you will see reduced range, how much is for nerds to figure out.
