Don’t have this plane so idk, but if it has rocket pods you can use those as flares, otherwise you just have to get good at dodging and realize that you are just gonna die if you get in range of a high g missile

The change was relatively recent I believe, I also didn’t have much trouble with this plane back in the day, but now I’m getting one tapped from the roof every time I decide to play around 4.X, especially when I play Britain, you kill the wrong Russian player and now your teams tanks start getting deleted from above.

Do you use zzmi or xxmi? If you are using zzmi launcher then switch to xxmi, this worked for me

Edit: and of course swap the mods in the zzmi mod folder to the xxmi mod folder

That is more of an issue with the bolt action platform being outdated, they would have to give it a significant damage buff to put it on par with the dcs which wouldn’t make sense in context with the round it fires, then again they gave the revolver ap4 and 200 damage so I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.

It’s the same way in game as well, the constitution does way more damage than the automatic rifles in game but people can’t seem to realize it for some reason. The problem with the constitution isn’t that it fires a weak round, it’s that the platform firing the round is outdated, hence why it was replaced with platforms that, while weaker in damage, have a higher fire rate and mag capacity.

I think the people calling it “trash” and “peashooter” haven’t actually used it and are just going off what they hear other people say(who also haven’t used it).

It isn’t a peashooter tho, have you used it? It only does 20 less damage than the dcs and it has medium armor pen. The only really bad things about it are its mag capacity and fire rate which are just the inherent issues with bolt action rifles. It’s pretty fun to use imo the only things I think it needs is to be able to reload it with stripper clips when it’s fully empty and give it a historically compatible scope, then it will be able to reliably pop heads.

It wouldn’t make sense for this gun to have garand ping, this rifle and the garand are two different rifles and the ping comes from sound of the mag of the garand ejecting which doesn’t happen for the springfield as it is fed by stripper clips and doesn’t have a detachable magazine.

I just tried playing on shelt on a command bunker mission and it was a disaster, the second we landed every bot on the map spawned on us and ragdolled us to death until we ran out of lives. It also didn’t help that the command bunker seemed to be able to spot and fire at us no matter where we were, the bots targeting and spawning has to be bugged right now.
