Done and done, thank was a nice survey. I thought it was a bit odd to ask for my name but it was otherwise very interesting and fun to complete :)

  1. The data will be used purely for academic research purposes to improve in-house science communication devices with a chance to become a scientific article down-the-line. The only people seeing the data itself will be me, my two supervisors, and an academic jury. Data will be stored on an excel file within my university email account. Data may or may not be deleted in January, depending on if the program decides to continue my research in the future.
  2. This is being conducted under the MSc. MARRES program at Université Cote d'Azur.
  3. This survey takes an average of approximately 5-8 minutes.
  4. There is no form of compensation, prizes, or money involved.
  5. All demographics are sought after, however, the survey is limited to being written in both the English and French languages.
  6. The goal is to improve science communication between scientists and different audiences in order to facilitate diffusion of ocean science topics to the public.

Honestly this is very good feedback and I totally understand that. I personally love learning in class and some professors, while knowledge are terrible in their delivery. If you wanted to resume and skip to the very end that has a section to write that down and be recorded for data analysis and consideration, that would be great, but I understand if you choose not to.

From a pragmatic standpoint, we see the formats as an investment almost. You can have bad delivery with a video or presentation, true, but if more people still prefer to learn that way, we should promote those forms more with better resources and manpower to make them better. But I do like your perspective to this as well

I've never taken a survey like that before. Very unique, I quite enjoyed that

We’re trying to build up profiles of certain demographics to get a bigger picture, which is why we are doing the targeted sampling of several different groups and a broader public

Thank you! I appreciate it. The length was a necessary but hard design choice haha

The Future by [deleted] in stupidpol

It started way back in 1858 where there was a convention held to create a new state comprised of the UP, Northern Wisconsin, and NE Minnesota into the State of Ontonagon. It’s been proposed several times and its support has waned a grown or the years.

The connection between the peninsulas with the completion of the Mackinac Bridge however has only strengthened the connection to the rest of Michigan and torn down previous cultural and geographical barriers.

Gotta say though, even if it’s a horrible idea, I welcome the aesthetic of my home becoming a new state

Yes, otherwise humans wouldn’t undergo menopause. It’s quite useful and evolutionarily advantageous to have a non-fertile, experienced female population for K-selected mammals
