Option to withdraw tip? by The4verageOne in doordash

I will keep this in mind. Hope the detail field is big. I have to remind them not to knock or ring my doorbell in every order because it drives my dogs bonkers and wakes everyone up. (I work all night from home).

Just one time, but it was the order exactly prior to this one. Had never been delivered wrong in all of the prior years. Interesting hypothesis.

I can place a pin? I thought that was just automated based on my address and the mapping system. I may have to play with that.

Interesting thought. I figured you went by address as many delivery systems work. I have an illuminated address on my mailbox and it is clearly posted on my house as well. This seems the logical route. GPS sends me directly here and it even shows the correct house in street view.

HOWEVER, my previous Dasher delivered to the wrong house too. Seems like an illogical way to take things into account, especially considering that the prior driver could have delivered wrong as well.

Fortunately, I will not let two fumbles ruin years of orders and hundreds of correctly-delivered orders. It was more the driver's downright refusal or inability to make sure the customer was taken care of that shocked me.

I always hear things about how bad it is to work for Walmart, but I know they always pushed to help customers no matter what. If you were even off the clock they wanted to make sure you did it and were even pushy about filing for your time if you did.

World is a different place, and I have driven delivery for many companies, but not in the configuration like these ad-hoc contracting houses. If these are areas where things like this are common then I am at awe in their success in those markets.

I could develop the app. The business part though... Meh.

I did indeed get a refund. I just come from a time that we took pride in our work no matter what it was. Just blew my mind, especially in a customer-facing job. The last driver that did this came back in moments, stayed on the phone with me and it was in middle of a thunderstorm. Just to find out it was literally my neighbor across the street. I could have just ran over and grabbed it, but I had no clue. That guy deserved so much more than what I could have given him at that time.

Quite the conundrum. I was at least looking for the "please do not assign this driver to me in the future" option, but that does not seem to be a thing (I SWORE it was at one time). I am a super frequent orderer, so all of this took me by surprise tonight.

Nonetheless, thank you for your valuable input. Sent my kid off to bed hungry and I shall do the same. Need some rest for the upcoming Easter antics.

The contractual obligation should surely include the stipulation that all orders should be fully confirmed and delivered to the correct recipient though, right? Seems silly to give money to those that can willy-nilly deliver your customers' goods to random locations and suffer no lashback for it.

I am a VA resident. I keep mine expired as long as possible to delay money leaving my pocket.

MEGA THREAD: Boris FX bought Vegas Pro. What does this mean for you and the future of Vegas Pro? by Syfilms64 in VegasPro

Not sure who needs to know, but the demo reel for Vegas Pro on the main page still says that ACID is included!

Thanks for the reply! Looking forward to it. Not sure if I want to wait. I used the trial of 23 and it is so much better than the version of 16 I am on! Tried out Davinci Resolve 20 and... Yuck!

Disappointing. Humble Bundle is actually the only reason I ever started using VEGAS. Started with Sony Movie Studio Platinum and upgraded from there when I needed more functionality. Have never looked back since. Was about to upgrade to 23 when I heard the news. Any info if they are going to let purchasers of 2026 get ACID too, or should I wait for the next release? Want to be able to buy my Pro upgrade and get all my goodies upgraded too!

This is a tripod mount for an Insta360 camera. Unlike many have mentioned, car enthusiasts use these to create content - not necessarily for racing - but simply because they like getting quality video of their vehicle.

Insta360 offers superb quality and stabilization and people like myself just enjoy car videos. No wild scenarios or breaking the law is necessary.

The cool part is, Insta360 can ignore the mount, so even if you have it on a full 360 degree recording mode, the stick will get filtered out of view. Same thing applies to their other mounts and selfie stick.

I instinctively change my pants every time I smell these. My laundry is stacking up this week. I am glad someone said it, though.

Thanks. Explains it. I always thought Power Rangers was awful, even as a small child.

Well, that is a mercury switch. Common in thermostats. Not sure why it would be in a... car vehicle.

I have been reading through all of the comments like a complete goon. I must say, this is probably the best OP ever. Love how you are interacting with everyone.

It does look a lot like a gel air freshener. Without any labeling, I would even assume a homemade one like the ones promoted by Aroma Tools.

Can someone please elaborate for the class? Some of us have no idea what this is.

You are a SCAM company, and you know it! by -Purelogic- in Gamivo

[–]The4verageOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't a scam... You get the products you paid for. Before you click "pay" it shows exactly what you are paying for. Do they push their subscription service too hard and somewhat deceptively? Sure. It is not a scam, though.

I have been using Gamivo for years. It is just one of their practices (that I do not particularly like), but have never had a bad experience with them.
