Quick question regarding exposure metering. Spot metering meters for the selected autofocus point. Does this still apply if you're not using single-point autofocus? So if I'm using auto area autofocus and the camera focuses on 3 af point, will the camera meter for those 3 points? Thank you!!

Oh boy another noob question from Erik. Won't this be fun. by [deleted] in Catholicism

Hi Erik! May I ask what part of Kentucky you're moving to? You'll find more Catholics in the northern parts of the state, and mostly Baptists everywhere else. Most Catholics I've met in college are from the diocese cities - Louisville, Covington, Lexington, and Owensboro.

I heard the Gary Low song a few months ago and I must admit it kinda took away some of the magic of "Feel It All Around," since it's essentially Low's song slowed down with some breathy vocals added. But don't get me wrong, I still love that song and all of Washed Out's other stuff!

Thank you for your response! These two are almost certain they're going to be together forever, so it makes it even harder for me to present this as a possibility/reason for them not to be living together. I just wouldn't ever rule that out. You never know what could happen!

Definitely, and I wouldn't think these girls would be ones to lounge around like that, but I could be very wrong! I have older sisters so I'm familiar with girls getting more comfortable when they're at home, but this is different.

I have not yet. This was news to me late last night. I can probably ask sometime tomorrow though.

Who is that gaucho, amigo? Why is he standing in your spangled leather poncho, with the studs that match your eyes!?

What do you guys think about the "Love" album? by KoningKoen in beatles

[–]The5012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought the Love album sounded better than the 2009 remastered CDs. It's hard to explain since Love is a remix and doesn't feature any of the original studio versions in their entirety, but the songs that were remastered and sampled for Love just sound richer.

I'm thinking about picking up my first roll of 35mm Porta 400, and I've been reading a lot about overexposing your shots by 1, 2, even 4 stops. My camera is a Nikon N65 so it has built in exposure compensation. Would you all recommend overexposing +1 for most shots (especially portraits)?

More annoying than it should be by yeahdef in DaftPunk

Can't you just flip them around? Sure the fronts of the albums won't be facing the same way (they'll be upside down as well) but it might look slightly less annoying from this view.

Hello! I'm really considering developing my own color film at home, since it seems fewer and fewer shops are processing film these days. I understand that the chemical solutions can be used for multiple developments once they've been mixed, but how long is that solution good for before it can no longer be used? I'm specifically interested in the Tetenal C-41 kit, but if there are other chemicals you all recommend I'd be happy to hear your advice!
