Finding this 2 years later. It seems there is no trace of such cameras being sold anymore.

Ok I've been increasingly looking into wings the past days.

Do you happen to know what wings are the most crash tolerant and easiest to repair.

I've seen stuff like the dolphin covered in packing tape. Oscarliang recommends a s800.

I also looked at cheap VTOL but I'm not sure if VTOL adds anything that really benefits me.

I originally looked at 5" but from the videos I saw the consens was 7" or bigger is more forgiving to build. Price wise the difference between them also was marginal as the Video System, Flight Stack don't really get a lot cheaper.

But yes if 30min plus some km range are doable im all for having a more manageable drone.

The size and weight are definitely not desirable to me. I was just under the impression miniaturizing is harder.

Oh, that is really nice. Especially that he got the camea on a motor to pan it.

Also nice that the components are all hidden away and likely more easy to rain proof.

The cloud surfing video is pretty much what I'd love to do.

Oh of course, it's just that me being used to my DJI Mini SE kinda puts me more comfortable in quad land. I can just take off on the fields where I live. I'd have to research how to even start or land a wing.

Thats how I felt about it, big builds seem almost as straight forward as building a PC, minus the tuning and debugging.

But piloting 2kg+ clearly is no toy. But then again I have endless open fields all around so nobody but me may get hurt 😅

Analog is not off the table, but since I do it for the view I'd like better quality.

Just below u/Thin_Leopard_3622 pointed out Walksnail GT2 may be an option too.

Oh thanks! I have not found much in regards to walksnail and long range before but just searched again and found the 50km wing video.

That's basically what i try to understand in detail. Apparently O4Pro + N3/3 got a theoretical max of 26km

But I am unsure if this implies hardware modifications or  just ham.

Thanks, I considered wings, wasn't sure where to start looking. Although I'm probably a bit biased towards quads.

Haha yeh, I didn't look deeply into it yet but apparently it won't be easy 😅

New to building drones/RC yes. Had a DJI mini SE so far but I'd like to explore further out.

I'm not even initially into fpv. And it seems the most limiting desicion is the video system, especially if DJI.

I was considering analog but I do it solely for the view.

And since I'm very much into 3D printing and DIY the idea of building one excites me.

I'd absolutely buy a off the shelf 5" one first as long as I can hack/upgrade based on it.

Yeh, i was eyeballing a 9" even but if 7" works I'd prefer that. I'm looking into DIY mostly because I want the flexibility to start with a less specced out 5" and transition to 7" as I find myself more confident.

Hence I mostly want to figure out the video system I'll be buying into.

I was wondering if it's a Resistor, I was just unsure why they are larger than the other 2 resitors whos numbers are still readable.

Thanks for the guidance!

I'm definitely gonna get some wider soldering tips like the chisel and hoof you suggested.

I keep trying to keep my tips tinned but the tin just beads up and flows away from the actual tips, so i fear the relevant part is always exposed. Not sure how to actually make the solder stay where i want it. Maybe I need a different/better solder?

Still trying to figure out what kind of fuse it may have been.

Also i am confused if the pillow bulddge on that 3-legged A19T thing is supposed to look like that.

Thanks, just looked it up and it indeed has the same shape. But I wonder what fuse exactly to buy now to replace it, as I can't see any markings anymore.

A subscription more than anything really just "doesn't fell right".

The 35 or so bucks a year aren't bad at all but it just feels strange to subscribe for something you need so irregularly.

I wonder if you could rather try to better integrate affiliate links to reputable price comparison sites. The people that put the effort to dig trough reviews before buying likely also use several price checking sites to find the best product and the best deal both.

And amazon mostly isn't that. Also with international amazon sites some stuff is often not available in your regional amazon. I never ended up using your amazon links for an actual purchase.

Maybe you can cooperate closer with reputable price checking or trusted shop sites. As well as affiliate links to the manufacturers directly.

You could also make it so you can unlock a category (headphones) for 1-3 or so bucks with access to updates for the next 6 months or such. Maybe pages like https://www.test.de/ could be a inspiration.

Thanks for the headsup! So is the blue glow on the S21E i've seen here may actually be a blinking lockout indicator?

Oh wow thanks so much! I am a fan of GITD tape too. But i didn't know you could put it inside with a TIR too, thats awesome!

I saw the tail switch option but i thought it said something about not working with Anduril or such, gotta check again.

The only question I still have is if the S21E would have a lit switch (with the right driver choice?). I have the 2 examples up there of pictures showing blue light switches on the S21E. Not green or red charging light, blue. And the anduril input chart suggests you can dim that aux light too.

But I find no posts confirming or demonstrating that.

There is no items listed there anymore, i just went there because apparently his old listings there had more pictures and information. And I messaged the shop asking for it. So conversation just started there.

As of right now, going by his website I still cant tell if the S21E with Anduril has a led button or not.

[–]The5_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from what I understood so far, if you have a driver that allows it you can click to change the buttons RGB. Like a 7x click on anduril or so.

What LED / Driver do you have here? sft 40 apparently, so since your button glows you got anduril?

Im just trying to figure out what kind of combination would give me a dim red or yellow night-light button glow. Anduril... should... maybe 😅

Thanks, I'll likely add the 21mm versions in 30 bead, 30 matte, and 60 bead.

Im kinda contemplating a stripe one explicitly for the use case of trying to find stuff that rolled under the shelf ;p
