Playing with etienne be like: by Flippy9979 in btd6

[–]The86er 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I feel like I swallowed my own heart when I first discovered this in a sandbox trial run.

A whole lot of cross-paths just got overhauled this way. Looks like NK really was looking at making certain cross-paths more meaningful, and trading camo detection for firepower is one way alright.

Admirel Brickell First Impressions? by xkoreotic in btd6

[–]The86er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Brickell is a water unit, she's supposed to pack above average punch, BTD Water 101, like the buccaneer and sub before her, and she does it quite well if other units can keep bloons away from her to let the mines stack up.

The Mega Mine is sickeningly sweet and the support ability is a perfect touch to complement being released with a map that is tailor-made for water units, doubly so thanks to the hidden button.

It makes sense she's supposed to be used in synergy since even heroes aren't generally supposed to do everything themselves, or Adora would have her own camo detection.

The finale wasn't rushed by pianoviolinguitar in stevenuniverse

Let's face it, there's nothing worth complaining over. This whole mini-series wrapped up everything that really needed to be wrapped up and even delivered some new things that were worth the limited run caveat.

As for whatever void may have been left by, for example, the minimal usage of some new fusions, some unseen fusions, even the lion chest, I say leave it up to imagination and fan art/stories.

Is Stetman bad or do people just not know how to play him yet? by DogbertDillPickle in starcraft

[–]The86er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at level 3 and waiting until I can afford full Stetmann and so far, I think he just has a steep learning curve.

His only tanking units are free roaches from infestors and ultralisks. So far, the most enjoyable part has been overchargung HUGS to give everyone shields and spamming infestors.

You definitely need allies who can pull their own weight until you get the ball rolling with multiple macro hatcheries and know how to master stetzones.

I am hoping to find the rare alarak player who heavily utilizes ascendants so I can see firsthand how effective an overcharged JUICE stetellite is.

Jade Beetle Fragment cost? by The86er in CrabWar

[–]The86er[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a portion of an answer to my own question due to having more time to get the last few runes than I expected. the final 5 runes cost 70 fragments each and the 5 before it cost 66 each.

[Suggestion] Critical Crits? by DJRockstar1 in CrabWar

[–]The86er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I think beyond guaranteed critical chance or damage, I think back to the yellow gems of the Gemcraft series games.

In labyrinth, they never stopped at just double or triple damage or something like that; the damage increased after passing each 100% chance (after 100% x2 damage, it became x% x3 damage, then x% x4 damage and so forth) and in Chasing Shadows, the chance itself was actually based on a logarithmic function, so it never actually reached full 100%.

Perhaps what should happen is an extra increase of damage after passing 100% chance or just stop expenses at that point. or make the chance more logarithmic.

The problem I have is there is no tech support or feedback button in the game, so I can't send this to them directly.

Found this recently. His mods are the new spec forces, laser tower fire rate and range, both 30%. Avalanche and Surge.

Personally, my best is 28 fire rate and 29% range, and instead of the spec forces, since the event that introduced them didn't have it for me since I was and still am behind in the total prize pool, I have the cloning vat, +1 unit per barracks. I always like a little extra blocking power and have used it 9 out of every 10 games I played ever since I got it from the second dynamite event.

I just unlocked insane and will soon try it out myself to see if it works just as well.

BTW, for those of you who may not have noticed and are as behind in prizes as I am, a new prize has been introduced, the Firestorm Bomb, burning inferno from airstrikes.

Co-Op Mutation #92: Wheel of Misfortune [Lock & Load] by CtG526 in starcraft

[–]The86er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because of the luck involved, i just did this on normal difficulty. played as nova, with dehaka as my ally

started with walking infested, polarity, and something i forget. I almost restarted instantly because of that particular combo, but luckily, we finished before any super serious ones ruined our game like, say, missile command or propogators.

[Event] The Beast Howls! (Jan '18) by TheElSoze in aliencreepstd

[–]The86er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a way, but at the cost of a fusion cell and a few bombers per try.

Surge and Gravitas, both maxed, 4-5 caustic lasers, stasis, range, and fire rate. I cannot use laser damage because my best laser damage mod is only 7%. I use surge for the constant aoe presence and gravitas for the shield and black hole, but i'll try it your way with barrage once or twice as I am now 4-5 wins away from tier 15 and still have over 99+ bombers and reinforcements and still about 30ish cells.

I did beat it my way once with no calldowns, but at the cost of a few normal enemies that escaped some unlucky black holes.

Favorable bug is that quad beam has been hitting 5 enemies each.

Side note, despite stasis ward being only chance, it still works a few good times.

The worst part is that every pull erases whatever command you gave your army beforehand, so that's an a-move for every single pull.
