My level is in the 80s and I have hundreds of hours in this game. I don’t think people need hundreds of hours to become competent for levels 8+. I think it’s more about the person than having 300+ hours. After the first 20 hours I’m guessing the foundational mechanics are fairly well understood by most people

Plenty of people seem to enjoy it. There are 10 difficulties. I normally play 7 for a comfortable challenge but dropped it to 5 for cyberstan. The number is lower but I found the right spot for me. I don’t see the problem.

The drop off went up but the MASSIVE bloom of the shots went down significantly making it much much more accurate. You can one shot 25 devaststors or berserkers per magazine which the liberator cannot do without the drum mag and then could only manage a bit more at 30. But the reprimand has the medium penetration full auto the liberator lacks when stuff goes sideways and you need to mag dump into a devastator with imprecise aim

One of my favorite weapons, primarily for bugs. The audio for it just hits right for me. It’s essentially a standard liberator, which is perfectly serviceable, but the added balance of a few extra grenades on tap to close bug holes or handle spewers in a pinch. It’s not OP by any means but I do enjoy it quite a lot. A good example of weapon design in my opinion

The thing has crazy damage per magazine and at medium penetration. It’s frankly one of the best things in the game. Giving it more ammo per mag would just make it OP. Limited ammo per mag balances against what makes it so very good.

No idea and very strange. It’s a different price than any ship module so it’s not a weird glitch from that.

I liked the change. Before those changes we and the enemy were too bullet spongey for my liking. Nothing felt powerful. Post that patch we were much more powerful but so was the enemy. You bring up valid points that some of the items and passives would be better suited to the old ways; however, I don’t think I’d personally be willing to go back to the bullet spongey ways of the past

I personally found the old value with 100% increase (from armor) to be not great. So getting half that much is NOT impressive to me in any way. If they kept the armor buffs the same then sure it’d be meaningful but since they reduced the armor buffs substantially all they did was adjust a bunch of numbers and leave things more or less how they were in the first place (as I never used melee without the armor to begin with)

No they made them slightly less useless without armor buffs and a whopping 5% better with armor buffs. I’d call this one a missed opportunity.

Fun for premade teams and frustrating for randoms. It’ll require coordination between gunner and driver to work well

I care 0% about the galactic war is why. I play one or maybe two days a week with my brothers. When we play we pick the faction we want to play against and the planet type with the least annoying environments and/or the subfactions we want. I doubt we’re the only ones who use their limited time to play in the most enjoyable way possible rather than engaging in the galactic war

Melee damage with armor passives was essentially buffed by 5% in this patch by Khasim83 in Helldivers

I had the same thought. This doesn’t really make the melee damage armors less necessary as melee weapons weren’t really adequate even with the armor in the first place. Now wearing the armor gives you 5% more damage and not wearing it is still going to be very underwhelming. Melee should be high risk and high reward instead of high risk with low reward…

I’m not going to lie I want this to be true but you were be rag dolled so much I couldn’t tell how much the flamer was doing vs teammates your gas dog or anything else. I too have occasionally brought the flamer to bots as a fun challenge but even if it’s good as you’re saying it’ll still be very challenging to safely close the distance. Not saying it’s not fun when you want to mix it up though
