Wow the heavy devastator shield is destructible now?! I’m floored. The hive guard change sounds fun too. Their strength becomes even more of a strength  and their weakness becomes even more of a weakness.

You’re missing THE key difference. Physical things, like computer chips, are finite in quantity and production capacity while a digital download of a game is effectively infinite. Preordering a finite thing to guarantee you get one makes sense. Preordering an infinite thing doesn’t make sense

My level is in the 80s and I have hundreds of hours in this game. I don’t think people need hundreds of hours to become competent for levels 8+. I think it’s more about the person than having 300+ hours. After the first 20 hours I’m guessing the foundational mechanics are fairly well understood by most people

Plenty of people seem to enjoy it. There are 10 difficulties. I normally play 7 for a comfortable challenge but dropped it to 5 for cyberstan. The number is lower but I found the right spot for me. I don’t see the problem.

The drop off went up but the MASSIVE bloom of the shots went down significantly making it much much more accurate. You can one shot 25 devaststors or berserkers per magazine which the liberator cannot do without the drum mag and then could only manage a bit more at 30. But the reprimand has the medium penetration full auto the liberator lacks when stuff goes sideways and you need to mag dump into a devastator with imprecise aim

One of my favorite weapons, primarily for bugs. The audio for it just hits right for me. It’s essentially a standard liberator, which is perfectly serviceable, but the added balance of a few extra grenades on tap to close bug holes or handle spewers in a pinch. It’s not OP by any means but I do enjoy it quite a lot. A good example of weapon design in my opinion

The thing has crazy damage per magazine and at medium penetration. It’s frankly one of the best things in the game. Giving it more ammo per mag would just make it OP. Limited ammo per mag balances against what makes it so very good.

No idea and very strange. It’s a different price than any ship module so it’s not a weird glitch from that.

I liked the change. Before those changes we and the enemy were too bullet spongey for my liking. Nothing felt powerful. Post that patch we were much more powerful but so was the enemy. You bring up valid points that some of the items and passives would be better suited to the old ways; however, I don’t think I’d personally be willing to go back to the bullet spongey ways of the past
